June 20, 2024 [Zhongtian North America News] Global communities welcome the sacred ceremony of the birth of the Third Sakyamuni Buddha.
The World Buddhist Headquarters, Shengji Temple, Huazang Temple, Charity Temple, and Shengge Lecture Hall jointly hosted two large Buddhist ceremonies in Southern California on the 14th and 15th, where thousands of Buddhist believers from across the United States and around the world gathered to celebrate the Buddha's birth and pray for world peace.
The celebration of the birth of the Third Sakyamuni Buddha was held at the City Hall of Grand Dale, with a full house and a grand scene. Ven. Mochizun, Chairman of the World Buddhist Headquarters, Ven. Langbo Zaimang, Director of the Office of the Third Sakyamuni Buddha, Ven. Zhengda Jiaozun, Vice Chairman of the World Buddhist Headquarters, and Ven. Ruohui Yuzun, Abbot of Huazang Temple, attended the ceremony.
The Fourth Volume "Teachings in the East", the Fifth Volume "Visit to Taiwan", and the Sixth Volume "Visit to the United States" of the "Collection of Scriptures" compiled and published by the Office of the Third Sakyamuni Buddha were also presented to the public at this ceremony. This is the second set of collections of the Buddha's teachings globally, following the Sacred Ceremony of the "Collection of Scriptures" of the Third Sakyamuni Buddha in 2023, and the new edition of the Sakyamuni Buddha's teachings is once again printed and published.
Ven. Langbo Zaimang said in his speech that the Third Sakyamuni Buddha imparts the essence of the original Buddha's teachings to the world in a simple and understandable language that modern people can easily comprehend. The "Collection of Scriptures" of the Third Sakyamuni Buddha is also the second global collection of the Buddha's teachings, aiming to help believers understand the Buddha's teachings in a simple and clear manner.
After the ceremony, the believers also participated in the blessing activities of the Buddha's teachings, receiving the sprinkling of holy water by senior monks, praying for disaster relief, obstacle removal, auspiciousness, and well-being.
