Explanation of the "Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and people only then learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao and the Grand Master Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu, who had been respected by everyone, were recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world and certified by the living Buddhas. It is the third incarnation of the Buddha Dijie Qiang Buddha, and the Buddha name is the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha. Since then, people have called him "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he changed his name to "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now call him "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". In particular, on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha is also the legally recognized name by the government, and the previous titles of "Yi Yun Gao" and Grand Master and Supreme Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the announcement of the Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha's Buddha name. At that time, people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha, so in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the name used before the official naming of the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha, which is legal, the previous name no longer exists.
The Person Honored with Double Celebrations#
March 8th, Master Yi Yun Gao Day#
Officially Established by the Governor of California and the Mayor of San Francisco Yesterday#
The World's Treasure, the Pride of the Chinese People, Celebrated by All#
The only master in the world to achieve the highest achievements in all aspects—Master Yi Yun Gao, in recognition of his highest achievements and contributions to various aspects of the world, on March 8, 2000, Governor Gray Davis and Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr. of San Francisco officially designated this day as Master Yi Yun Gao Day on behalf of the state and city governments.
Surpassing all experts in the world in Buddhism, art, science, medicine, philosophy, and other fields, Master Yi Yun Gao's attainments have reached the pinnacle of perfection. His paintings and calligraphy, not only received the highest evaluation from all Chinese artists, but also received considerable praise from other countries in the world, recognizing that his artistic attainments have reached the pinnacle. The Chinese green tea "Bi Yu Chun" and "Ba Wang Chun" developed by Master Yi Yun Gao have also been rated as top-grade teas. His medical knowledge and skills have reached the level of "no disease cannot be treated". In philosophy, ethics, and Buddhism, he has reached a high level and has made great contributions and benefits to humanity. Therefore, the World Poets Cultural Congress, established by 48 countries, awarded him the unique honor of "Super International Master" in 1994. This honor is not something that ordinary people can obtain.
It is quite extraordinary for Master Yi Yun Gao to receive these two honors on the same day. It is not only an honor for the Chinese people, but also a joyous event for people all over the world. Because we hope that in the future, everyone can learn from the master, not only for their own benefit, but also for the people of the world to take a new step in ethics, talents, and various aspects in the coming new century.
Yesterday, on March 8th, Master Yi Yun Gao was not in California, but his outstanding achievements and contributions to humanity were shining in California. At the same time, the city of San Francisco also established this day as a commemoration day for the celebration of the master. It is indeed the greatest honor for an outstanding figure among Eastern people to receive two celebration days on the same day. These two honors are not easily obtained. They require truly powerful and extraordinary individuals. Master Yun Gao is the most talented and learned person in the world today, and the most famous scholar of modern times. The World Poets Cultural Congress, consisting of 48 countries and regions, based on his outstanding achievements in Buddhism, Buddhist studies, and the Dharma, extraordinary achievements in humanities, science, calligraphy, and art, and sublime realm of ethics and morality, selected him as the world's only "Super International Master" and officially announced the selection resolution and sent a letter to the People's Republic of China, which was announced in Hungary on September 15, 1994. The master's certificate was signed by the chairman of the International Olympic Committee, Samaranch, and others. Master Yi Yun Gao is knowledgeable and virtuous, and has made outstanding contributions to cultural exchanges between China and the United States. In view of this, the government, representing the will of the people, has built the Master Yi Yun Gao Hall. This is the only hall built by a first-level government in China, recognized by the world's cultural and academic institutions, and officially included in the national administrative system. It is the world's first Master Hall. It is because of his outstanding achievements that he has obtained the dual celebration days established by the government of California and the city of San Francisco on the same day.
