Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nuobu Dafa Wang, had been recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dorje Chang, with the Buddha name being the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha." This is similar to how before Shakyamuni Buddha became enlightened, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became enlightened, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha." Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha." Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the legally recognized name by the government, and the previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the titles of Master and Dafa Wang no longer exist. However, this news was published before the official announcement of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha's Buddha name, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official recognition of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that, except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the names used before the official recognition no longer exist.
Radiant light everywhere, Buddha light flying#
----Ms. Wang Chengefen, relying on the Dafa Wang to cultivate the Guanyin Dharma, has achieved great success
[By Zhi Lian] Ms. Wang Chengefen, a resident of Xindu County, Sichuan Province, China, is 81 years old this year. She relies on the Dafa Wang to cultivate the Guanyin Dharma and is closely related to the Dafa Wang. In March of this year, the old layman showed the appearance of the four great decompositions. On April 13th, her children sent her to Chengdu General Hospital. After examination, all indicators were normal, and electrocardiograms and electroencephalograms diagnosed no illness, and her body was healthy. However, on April 18th, the X-ray chest film showed no shadow in both lungs, a blank space. The doctors were very surprised and had never seen such a situation before. Further examination confirmed that both lungs had completely stopped working, with no breathing function, unable to inhale or exhale. Everyone was extremely surprised. Isn't it that without breathing, a person would be dead? But Ms. Wang Chengefen, who had no breath, was still alive and could speak normally! Someone placed a small feather in front of the old layman's nostrils and mouth, and indeed saw that more than ten minutes passed with no movement of the feather, and the old layman had completely stopped breathing, but she was still alive and speaking normally. The doctors were extremely surprised and didn't know what to do. This is a great wonder in the medical field and even the entire human world. The old layman, in this state of complete lung failure, could speak and move within a month. The doctors, of course, did not understand that this was the result of the old layman's cultivation of the Buddha Dharma.
Ms. Wang Chengefen, the old layman, stayed in Chengdu General Hospital for two or three days and then entered the state of great virtue returning to the West. She told more than a dozen classmates around her that Guanyin Bodhisattva had informed her that she would be taken to the Western Pure Land. She made arrangements for her affairs after her death, took off the Buddha statue hanging from her chest and the jewelry on her hands, gave them to her children, changed into a shroud, and waited quietly for Guanyin Bodhisattva to come. She kept folding her hands and reciting "Namo Guanyin Bodhisattva," and even asked the people who were chanting with her to kneel down and chant the holy name of Guanyin Bodhisattva, saying that the Bodhisattva had arrived. Indeed, everyone in the ward suddenly smelled a fragrance, and celestial music sounded in the air. The Bodhisattva arrived, but the old layman did not leave. The old layman told everyone that Guanyin Bodhisattva told her that her relative Yixi Nuobu Dafa Wang in the United States had obstructed her and asked the Bodhisattva not to take her away. A few days later, Guanyin Bodhisattva came to pick her up for the second time, but the old layman did not alarm the people around her and continued to recite and fold her hands. The people around her heard her say, "The Western Pure Land is so beautiful! So many flowers!" Because of the obstruction of the Dafa Wang, Guanyin Bodhisattva did not take the old layman away. When interviewed, the old layman, although reluctant to speak much, still took responsibility and insisted on recording the audio herself: "I saw Guanyin Bodhisattva wearing a blue dress. The Western Pure Land is so beautiful! There are also pavilions and towers, and so many flowers!"
On May 22, 2004, at 11 o'clock in the evening Los Angeles time (approximately 2 o'clock in the afternoon on May 23, China time), the President of the International Buddhist Sangha Association, Master Long Hui, was called to the dining table by her Dafa Wang teacher. The teacher told her that Mr. Wang Chengefen, the relative of the Dafa Wang, would pass away in Sichuan Province, China, on the next day in the United States, which is today in China, and would be guided by Guanyin Bodhisattva to the Western Pure Land. The Dafa Wang asked Master Long Hui to publicly announce the passing of Ms. Wang Chengefen at the bathing Buddha ceremony to be held the next day and dedicate the merits of the Dharma practice to the old layman. The Dafa Wang added, "Listen carefully, she has not passed away yet. Tomorrow you will hold the bathing Buddha ceremony, which is particularly meritorious. I can no longer ask Guanyin Bodhisattva to keep her. After I finish my Dharma practice tonight, Guanyin Bodhisattva will come to take her away tomorrow." Sure enough, on the second day (May 23), at 7 o'clock in the morning Los Angeles time, around 10 o'clock in the evening on the 23rd in China, before Master Long Hui arrived at the venue of the ceremony, she received a call from Sichuan, saying that Ms. Wang Chengefen had been taken away by Guanyin Bodhisattva twenty minutes ago.
At the ceremony that day, as soon as the bathing Buddha ritual was completed, everyone saw the bronze statue of the Dharma King, the son of Shakyamuni Buddha, wearing a red Dharma robe, emitting a bright golden light that lasted for two and a half hours before slowly disappearing. This is closely related to the Dafa Wang transmitting the true Dharma of the Tathagata to the old layman. Otherwise, why has there never been a time in history when a bathing Buddha ceremony saw the Buddha statue emit light?
On the evening of May 23, around 9:30 p.m. China time, immediately after Ms. Wang Chengefen was taken away by Guanyin Bodhisattva, the ordinary chanting sound from the Buddha beads she bought from the street in the room suddenly changed to the chanting of "Namo Guanyin Bodhisattva" by the Dafa Wang across the Pacific Ocean! The Dafa Wang's chanting voice was much louder and clearer than the original sound from the Buddha beads! The people present were moved and shocked. The layman Shi Xinzhen recorded the Dafa Wang's Dharma sound excitedly. At a little past 10 p.m. on May 24th, the red-faced Dharma body of Ms. Wang Chengefen was respectfully brought to the simple and solemn Buddha hall in Baoguang Temple, one of the four major forests in China.
At a little past 4 p.m. on May 25th, in the temporary Buddha hall of Baoguang Temple, the disciples of the Dafa Wang chanted the holy name of Guanyin Bodhisattva in silence. Soon, everyone heard that the chanting sound from the Buddha beads suddenly disappeared and was replaced by the Dafa Wang leading many people in chanting "Namo Guanyin Bodhisattva." After a while, they switched to chanting "Namo Amitabha Buddha" and then chanted "Namo Guanyin Bodhisattva" again. The crowd followed the Dafa Wang in chanting with excitement. Shi Xinzhen and Shi Xin'en recorded the audio on the spot. About 5 minutes later, a beam of Buddha light shone and projected onto the Buddha platform and the Dharma body of Ms. Wang Chengefen. Immediately, Buddha light appeared in the air. Everyone rushed out of the house, bowing and cheering. Whether they were disciples of the Dafa Wang or people who practiced Buddhism, they all saw wonderful scenes. The sky was filled with colorful Buddha light, just as described in the Amitabha Sutra. Countless Buddhas appeared in the Buddha light, and Bodhisattvas sat everywhere. The light expanded to the boundless space; the clouds around were colorful; the ground, the sky, and the trees were filled with golden and blue light clusters; the sun and the moon were shining together, solemn and auspicious; the sun flickered and jumped, and countless Buddhas and Bodhisattvas emerged from it, quickly followed by silver wheels and countless dazzling Dharma eyes, or colorful lions, and even dragons! Guanyin Bodhisattva in the Buddha light was dressed in a long skirt, and then the image of Shakyamuni Buddha, larger than the sun, appeared. The faces and bodies of the people were enveloped in golden light. Anyone who sought blessings immediately received the projection of colorful Buddha light on their chests, and people kept kneeling and praising. The people who witnessed the holy scene at that time were called Shi Zhilan, Shi Zhiqing, Shi Xinzhen, Shi Xin'en, Shi Xin Feng, Shi Zhilian, Shi Daorong, Shi Yizong, Shi Zhiguang, Shi Chaojing, Shi Nianci, Shi Niande, Shi Nianzhen, Shi Zhiying, Shi Zhide, Shi Xinying, Shi Dao Wei, Shi Zhixiu, and nearly thirty others. The holy scene lasted for about an hour, and everyone was excited and joyful.
On May 28th, the temperature was the highest in the past few days. The old layman had passed away for many days, and her Dharma body was placed in the simple Buddha hall of Baoguang Temple. There was no freezing, no air conditioning, and not even a fan. The living people were sweaty and smelly, but the Dharma body of the old layman emitted a strong and fragrant smell that everyone present could smell. Two monks from Baoguang Temple came to inspect and said in surprise, "On such a hot day, it has been placed here for so many days and nothing has happened. There is no trace of water on the ground, and there is still a strong fragrance. It is indeed a good cultivation." Many people in the Buddha hall saw the Amitabha Buddha statue on the Buddha platform emit three strong golden halos, each lasting about ten minutes, and the photo of the old layman and the Dharma body above her head also flickered with dazzling golden light. The Buddha light outside was still magnificent. The disciples were chanting the Buddha in the Buddha hall, and the monks of Baoguang Temple anxiously said, "Why don't you come out and see the Buddha light? There are so many Bodhisattvas in the sky!"
