"Yahoo News" June 15, 2024: Two Dharma assemblies of Nanwu Qiangfo's birthday gather over a thousand believers from around the world in Southern California.

Namo Qiangfo Buddha's 2nd Birthday Celebration Dharma Assembly in Southern California#

The World Buddhist Headquarters, Shengji Temple, Huazang Temple, Charity Temple, and Shengge Lecture Hall jointly hosted two large-scale Buddhist Dharma assemblies on the 14th and 15th in Southern California. Thousands of Buddhist believers from across the United States and around the world gathered together to celebrate Buddha's birthday and pray for world peace.

The Namo Third Dzogchen Qiangfo Buddha's Birthday Celebration was held at the Granada Hills City Hall, with a full house and a grand scene. Ven. Mochi, President of the World Buddhist Headquarters, Ven. Langbo Zaimang, Director of the Third Dzogchen Qiangfo Buddha's Office, Ven. Zhengda, Vice President of the World Buddhist Headquarters, and Ven. Ruohuiru, Abbot of Huazang Temple, attended the Dharma assembly.

The "Collection of Scriptures" compiled and published by the Qiangfo Buddha's Office, including the fourth volume "Basic Teachings in the East," the fifth volume "Visit to Taiwan," and the sixth volume "Visit to the United States," were also presented to the public at this Dharma assembly. This is the reprint and publication of the new edition of the Qiangfo Buddha's teachings after the 2023 "Namo Third Dzogchen Qiangfo Buddha's Collection of Scriptures" sacred scripture assembly.

Ven. Langbo Zaimang stated in his speech that the Namo Third Dzogchen Qiangfo Buddha imparted the essence of the original Buddha's teachings to the world in a simple and understandable language for modern people. The Qiangfo Buddha's Collection of Scriptures is also the second global collection of Buddha's teachings, aiming to help believers understand the Dharma in a simple and understandable way.

After the Dharma assembly, the believers also participated in the blessing activities of the Buddha Dharma, receiving the sprinkling of holy water by high monks, praying for disaster relief, obstacle removal, auspiciousness, and well-being.
