Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launching ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, was recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects and the great living Buddhas of the world's Buddhism. The third generation of Dorje Chang Buddha, the Buddha name is the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have called him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha." This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he changed his name to "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha," so now we call him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha." Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha), and since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the government's legal name, and the previous "Yi Yun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Supreme Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the Buddha name of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha was announced, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the name used before the official naming of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the previous name no longer exists.

Yi Yun Gao's paintings continue to create sky-high prices, self-proclaimed but not concerned about reputation#
Reporter Yang Zhijun/Interview
Yi Yun Master, who created the highest price in Chinese painting in the world with the painting "Great Power King Venerable," said in a telephone interview with a reporter, "I am an ordinary person, without any publicity qualifications. I don't sell paintings, if someone sells the things I give them, it's their choice." He does not endorse any praise or slander from the outside world.
Yi Yun Master, who combines the titles of Buddhist master, art master, philosophy master, scientist, singer, writer, and ethical moralist, after the "Wei Zhen" painting was sold for NT$64 million and shocked the world, his another painting "Great Power King Venerable" was sold for NT$72 million by Mr. Nailer, a British art dealer, at an auction on November 26, once again creating a huge wave and breaking the record for the highest price ever paid for a living artist in an auction.
This outstanding Chinese artist who has shone in the international art world has profound insights. Yi Yun Master, who is skilled in both ink painting and oil painting, believes that besides techniques, the most important thing in painting is style and artistic conception. Ink painting has an advantage in expressing artistic conception compared to oil painting. The expression of artistic conception and the elegance of style reflect the literary and philosophical accomplishments and realm of the painter. Therefore, the best painters must be not only artists but also literary and philosophical scholars, rather than just skilled craftsmen. Therefore, the artistic value of Chinese painting and Western painting should not be ranked based on categories.
Zhou Yingnan, an advisor to the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts, pointed out in the preface of the "Yi Yun Master Painting Collection," which has been out of print for some time, that Master Yi has dozens of different techniques, whether it is landscapes, figures, animals, flowers and birds, or fish and insects, whether it is meticulous, freehand, or splashed ink, he excels in all of them, and all of them are based on real traditional skills and innovations. Master Yi is knowledgeable and accomplished, and has written extensively. He is the most famous scholar in modern world history. Although his reputation has spread all over the world, his humility, simplicity, and high moral character are even harder to find. He has long been recognized by experts from world-class academic institutions.
In the book "Yi Yun Master," the author Zhuang Zi Gong said, "Yi Yun Master's brilliant achievements in painting and calligraphy are rooted in the master's tireless study of the philosophy of life and the universe and his profound literary foundation." Gu Ruizhao, a professor who teaches comparative art courses at Zhongyuan University and the National Defense Medical College, pointed out that only by improving our literary and philosophical foundation can we deeply understand the connotation and subtlety of Yi Yun Master's paintings. Master Yi's paintings are for deep contemplation, not just for viewing. To appreciate his paintings, one must not only have a broad knowledge but also spend more thoughts, in order to benefit greatly.
Ven. Jueyu, Minister of the Five Ming Art Department of the World Buddhist Association, said that Master Yi's paintings can vary in wonderful techniques, and this achievement is entirely due to the cultivation and verification of Buddhism, Buddhist studies, and Buddhist teachings. The use of Prajna wisdom is the source of his achievements, and the manifestation of his value and blessings comes from the practice of offering and giving. The two-fold accumulation is the collection of the Tripitaka and the secret scriptures.
As early as 1995, Master Yi Yun Gao publicly burned his own immature paintings at Jinghui Mountain Villa in Dayi County, China: In order to be responsible for passing on the master's painting and calligraphy art to future generations, the World Buddhist Association decided not to handle any handbooks of the master's immature works during the period of studying and researching painting and calligraphy. Ven. Jueyu, Minister of the Five Ming Art Department of the World Buddhist Association, emphasized that the World Buddhist Association affirms Master Yi as a holy figure in Buddhism, and his image should be protected by Buddhism. Therefore, his paintings cannot have fake works appearing in troubled times. For this reason, the World Buddhist Association decided to sign a contract with the master to guarantee the authenticity of his works. The brokerage of the master's paintings will not take any commission from the World Buddhist Association. Everything the World Buddhist Association does is based on the law, not on individuals, and everything is for the dignity of art and the benefit of the public, and for the solemnity of the master's image in Buddhism.
The World Buddhist Association actively guarantees the authenticity of his works. For the paintings and calligraphy personally created by Master Yi Yun Gao, a handwritten guarantee certificate must be written by Master Yi Yun Gao himself, with his own gold seal fingerprints and secret notes. The handbooks must be appraised by the Five Ming Art Department of the World Buddhist Association and stamped with the fine seal of the words "Yun Gao." In addition, the handbooks must also be stamped with the steel seal of the World Buddhist Association and personally signed by the chairman of the association. This makes him a great painter whose quality is guaranteed by the World Buddhist Association.
