Explanation of the "Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" Buddha Name#

On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and people only then learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nuobu Dafa Wang, was certified by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world and recognized as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dijie Qiang Buddha, with the Buddha name being the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". This is similar to the name of Prince Siddhartha before Gautama Buddha became enlightened, but after Gautama Buddha became enlightened, he was called "Namo Gautama Buddha". Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha), and since then, the title of Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha is also the government's legal name, and the previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the titles of Master and Dafa Wang no longer exist. However, this news was published before the official announcement of the Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha's Buddha name, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha, which is legal, the previous names no longer exist.

Holy Relics of the Dijie Losang Dharma King's Dharma Journey in the Buddha Land#

The Vajra Body Burned for Six Hours, and One Hundred and Forty-One Relics Appeared#

Dijie Losang Lama was a disciple under the seat of Yang E Yi Xi Nuobu Dafa Wang. He displayed supernatural powers and manifested the Dharma, as recorded in the book "The Iron Record of the Holy Monk". He followed Dafa Wang as his teacher for many years, practicing Buddhism day and night without sleep, without even a bed, only a cushion with him. Losang deeply received the transmission from his teacher, Dafa Wang, and with tears of gratitude, he made a vow to benefit sentient beings according to his teacher's guidance. However, this extraordinary Losang showed his supernatural powers in many places, disregarding the consequences. Due to the circumstances, karmic obstacles arose, and he was detained by the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau in April 2001. He had no chance to study and practice with his teacher. In July 2003, the court held a trial, but there was no conviction at that time. He was then sent to Luowan Temple in Sichuan, where he had nothing to do all day, wandering in the countryside, often gazing into the empty space with his eyes, practicing meditation without words. Unfortunately, his karmic connection with sentient beings had come to an end, and he could no longer teach the Dharma. As early as August 2003, Jiang Gongkangqin Renboche clearly stated in his record that Losang had told him explicitly that he would leave the human realm in the following August and asked Jiang Gongkangqin Renboche to hide and practice the Dharma, and in the future, when there is an opportunity to benefit sentient beings, to transmit the supreme Dharma of the great Dafa Wang to virtuous individuals. Don't forget, Dafa Wang is the highest Dharma King who holds the true Dharma of the Buddha in this world! Jiang Gongkangqin Renboche recorded the entire process, and this record was read publicly among the monks, nuns, and laypeople in the United States before Losang's passing, and it was also read publicly in July of the lunar calendar in 2004 at the foundation. Dijie Losang Dharma King finally passed away on the second day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, leaving the human world.

After Losang's passing, Wang Zhiying, a layperson, took care of him in the later period of his life. Zhiying straightforwardly told him, "Dharma King, please don't leave in the summer. It's so hot, and I can't handle it." Losang also promised candidly, "Don't worry, I won't pass away in the hot weather. I will wait until August when it cools down." Losang lived a simple life, with righteous views on Dharma affairs, not attached to worldly matters. Before leaving, he only said to everyone, "I'm leaving, just recite more Buddha's name." On the second day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, he fulfilled his promise and passed away. The monks from Baoguang Temple arrived at his residence and took him to Baoguang Temple.

When the fire cremated Losang in the afternoon, various extraordinary phenomena appeared, which were very different. The monks and laypeople who were reciting the Buddha's name each had their own special feelings about the situation. Some people murmured in their hearts: "This Dharma King was so powerful during his lifetime, but now he doesn't look like an accomplished one at all. He passed away in a sickly state, which can't be considered an accomplishment." Some people said that he was afraid of difficulties and hardships and did not benefit sentient beings, violating the fourteen fundamental precepts of Vajrayana. Some people said that he broke the precepts and manifested supernatural powers, which are the great precepts of Buddhism. Some people said that his realization was extraordinary, truly a manifestation of the great path. Finally, a lay devotee who held the Dharma stepped forward and confessed publicly that Dijie Losang Dharma King was not an ordinary person. The impermanence he manifested was to teach and guide us, but we did not generate infinite reverence and instead had discriminatory views. He suggested that everyone should take this opportunity to contemplate impermanence, generate infinite reverence, and bid farewell to the old Dharma King. A practitioner must have the auspicious manifestation of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. At this moment, many people also confessed publicly. Life is like a dream, impermanence is swift, and whether one is poor or noble, in the end, only a smelly body remains. Everyone generated infinite reverence, recited the Buddha's name, contemplated impermanence, and made vows to pray for the well-being of sentient beings, praying for national prosperity and the well-being of the people, praying for favorable weather conditions, and praying for world peace. Unexpectedly, at this time, the radiance of the Mahavairocana Buddha quickly developed and blessed everyone. Cameras and video cameras were activated one after another. Lay devotees took three photos of the sun emitting brilliant light, and there was a circular emerald green pattern at the center of the sun, which was exactly the same as the emerald green on the hem of the robe and hat of the great Dafa Wang. Seeing this manifestation, everyone was ecstatic and couldn't describe their joy.

The indestructible Vajra body did not catch fire until 4:20 in the afternoon. Everyone recited "Namo Amitabha Buddha," "Heart Sutra," "Lotus Sutra," "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Mantra," and "Mahakala Mantra" around the flames. The fire spiraled in the furnace like a fire dragon, and the fire pit turned into a fireball. But at this moment, the majestic head of Losang suddenly appeared, and it did not catch fire at all. The clothes had already burned, but the head and body remained unaffected by the fire.

At this moment, the author couldn't help but think of the record of Milarepa not being burned in ordinary fire. Today, it appeared before our eyes, truly worthy of being the Vajra Dijie Losang Dharma King. Everyone finally understood the profound meaning of the indestructible Vajra body not catching fire in ordinary flames. Losang Dharma King sat in the fire, manifesting the realm of Mahakala, and everyone recited mantras aloud, requesting that the body be burned to obtain relics. Suddenly, there was a "pop" sound, and the body of the Dharma King finally caught fire. After the recitation, a set of monk's robes worn by Losang during his lifetime was sent into the furnace, and the furnace immediately flashed continuously, emitting a strong fragrance. The crowd cheered.

Under normal circumstances, the entire process of cremation only takes a little over an hour, but Losang Dharma King burned for more than six hours, which is extremely rare. It can be imagined how extraordinary his Vajra body was. Unfortunately, he revealed his supernatural powers too much and lost his vigilance. When his karma matured, he had to inform Jiang Gongkangqin Renboche in advance that he was going to leave. After the cremation, one hundred and forty-one relics were found. The manifestation of the indestructible Vajra body burning for six hours and the discovery of the solid relics completely proved that Losang did indeed learn the true Dharma of the great Dafa Wang. Unfortunately, he should not have left the human realm but should have stayed to benefit sentient beings with great Dharma.

It is rare for a cremation to last for six hours. At this point, when someone said that Dijie Losang was not a Dharma King, we can't help but ask: If Dijie Losang was an ordinary layperson, why could he predict the time of his passing in advance? Why could he have an indestructible Vajra body and burn for six hours, breaking the historical record? Why were one hundred and forty-one relics found after the cremation? How could an ordinary layperson have such sacred objects? In Taiwan, for decades, only one venerable Guangqin had relics after cremation, and they were completely burned in a little over an hour. Therefore, this is enough to prove that the Dharma of Dijie Losang is not an empty theory of worldly matters. Only true Dharma can manifest such sacred phenomena. Therefore, we can't help but think again that usually, we all say "Buddha's teachings are hard to come by, and the true Dharma is hard to encounter." But now, the true Dharma of Dafa Wang has manifested, and his disciples have achieved great accomplishments one by one. Shouldn't we think about how to face life and death?
