Letter of Certification from the Office of the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche#

Regarding the letter from the Buddhist disciple Chejue, the office now provides a certified reply:

H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche and the Office of the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche have never produced Gawa boxes, nor have they ever taken other Gawa boxes for blessing or sale, or for anyone's request. They have also never sold any Dharma instruments! The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche said that the reason why he does not produce these things is because he is ashamed to give something without blessings to others, so he no longer engages in these non-practicing activities. H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche does indeed produce things. What H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche produces is the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha, which teach everyone to practice according to the teachings, to stay away from lying, deception, and evil, and not to study the scriptures of false teachers. It establishes a selfless, upright, strict adherence to the teachings, and benefits the public with a bodhisattva mind that serves without receiving offerings or obligations. In addition to selling his own creations such as paintings and calligraphy, and paying taxes to the national tax bureau in accordance with the law, H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche has also freely donated other worldly items he has invented, such as One Time Spirit, Hair Growth Essence, Biyu Spring Tea, and Bawang Spring Tea, without accepting any money or shares. This is the Buddha who speaks of benefiting sentient beings and puts it into practice! The Office of the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche follows the same principles. H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche and the Office of the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche have never received any money for any Dharma items left behind after a Dharma assembly!

Gawa boxes are common handicrafts in Tibetan Buddhism, containing scriptures, Buddha statues, etc., and are Dharma items that lamas and some practitioners carry with them. Gawa boxes are divided into three types: sacred Gawa boxes, ordinary Gawa boxes, and Gawa boxes for purification of negative karma. Other Dharma instruments are also classified in the same way.

Sacred Gawa boxes are auspicious, while ordinary Gawa boxes have no specific function - they are neither good nor bad. Gawa boxes that are not good belong to the category of purification of negative karma - inauspicious objects. The ten limited edition Gawa boxes you mentioned have not been authenticated and will not be commented on.

However, the office only engages in the study and practice of Buddhism and does not authenticate any Dharma instruments. Because H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche said, "To truly receive blessings and achieve good results, one must practice! Relying on Dharma instruments will not produce the effects of practice."

We only respectfully listen to the Dharma teachings of H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche and rely on ourselves to practice according to "The Great Liberation Seal" as instructed. All other feudal superstitions are just illusions, not only laboring in vain, but also planting the karma of harming oneself and others if caught in the midst of evil people and evil objects!
