Office of the Third Dordje Chang Buddha, Letter No. 2, Confirmation.

  1. The Four Books and Five Classics have the effect of enhancing the traditional ancient text, ethics, and morality for students, but they do not belong to the texts for Buddhist practitioners to study and practice Buddhism. The primary duty of Buddhists is to engage in the Six Perfections and the Ten Thousand Practices, to listen to the teachings of H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche, to study the correct Buddhist scriptures, to refrain from committing evil deeds and to engage in virtuous actions, to abandon selfishness and ego-clinging, to practice the Ten Virtuous Actions and the Four Immeasurables, to benefit sentient beings, and to establish centers for spreading the Dharma. Although the Four Books and Five Classics are good books, H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche has not arranged for them. We must understand that life is impermanent, and birth and death are of great importance. As practitioners, we should diligently engage in spiritual practice and not be complacent. We should not wait until the last moment of birth, aging, sickness, and death to practice, as it would be too late.

  2. Abandoning the listening to the teachings of H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche and dismantling the centers for spreading the Dharma to engage in other projects is a serious wrong view.

  3. Those who hold onto beliefs in Tibetan living Buddhas and holy saints without listening to the teachings of H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche and studying the official announcements are not fulfilling their primary duties.

  4. It is true that some Tibetan living Buddhas have written certifications and endorsements for H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche, which have been printed in books and accepted by the International Buddhist Sangha. However, these have no significance for H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche, especially considering the actions of some false living Buddhas, which have caused pollution. Among them, there are writings by false living Buddhas and unethical living Buddhas. What does it matter if a fraudster or an unethical person writes a document? Everyone should think about it. Even the great living Buddhas cannot compare to the realization and attainment of Shakyamuni Buddha, let alone these fraudster living Buddhas, unethical living Buddhas, and those lacking integrity. Do they have the qualifications to write certifications and endorsements for Shakyamuni Buddha? What are they in front of Shakyamuni Buddha? For example, Sakya Tenzin, who does not even acknowledge his own actions, where should we place him? We will not make any judgments and let everyone decide. H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche's achievements, not to mention higher attainments, are unparalleled in the worldly Dharma and the complete realization of the outer and inner tantras. These living Buddhas cannot even achieve one-tenth of what he has accomplished, let alone their fraudulent, unethical, and dishonest behavior in writing documents. This is nothing more than defiling H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche. H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche said, "Who am I? It is not determined by living Buddhas, nor by their certifications and endorsements. It is determined by my own words and actions. Therefore, I am still the one who feels ashamed since beginningless time. There is no increase or decrease. Slander does not defile me, praise does not glorify me. I am just a humble servant in front of the public." H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche's teachings remind us of what the highest Dzogchen master, the Fourth Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Tupten Chonyi Gyatso, said: "Gold remains gold even in the mud, and brass remains brass no matter how polished it is. What use is certification?" We already have many books of H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche. We should not send any more. They should be used to benefit more sentient beings!

  5. In your letter, you mentioned that the teacher arrived in Los Angeles, USA on December 17, 2013, and H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche said to him, "Take a look at these letters that reflect the issues. The letters say that you took other people's belongings and have other problems. If you took other people's belongings, return them. If you have done something wrong, correct it. If you haven't taken anything, endure the accusations. Why don't I accept offerings from anyone? I came to this world to benefit sentient beings. No matter what others say, I endure with patience." The teacher said to H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche, "He doesn't care about what others say because his mind is pure and bright. If someone accuses him, what does he have to fear? He only said this to the elders, who finally gave him an opportunity to speak. The people who wrote these letters are telling lies and falsely accusing him." He immediately knelt down and swore that if he had used H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche's name to collect offerings, his whole family would die tonight. He has never cheated anyone out of a single penny or possession but has helped those people. He said he has never told a lie or asked anyone to lie. The Four Books and Five Classics College was not established by him but by two professors. He only went there and spoke a few words. He did not ask anyone for sponsorship, nor did he say it was approved or arranged by H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche. He specifically stated several times that his future work would be to increase centers for spreading the Dharma, starting from scratch, and listening to the Dharma together with everyone, without engaging in other activities. H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche did not say in any phone call, "I trust all of your teachers, I admire all of your teachers. Why don't you trust him?" It was those who listened to the phone call who fabricated lies and falsely accused him. As for buying a house in the United States, "There was never any fundraising. Some people in the United States voluntarily contributed a small amount of money, and I contributed more. Now, a permit for meditation has been applied for. Let them sell the house and return the money to them." As for buying a house in Chengdu, he never used H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche's name or anyone else's money. He bought it with his own 2 million yuan from Xue Yongxin (Office Note: Xue Yongxin is the chairman of Enwei Group). He made several oaths to guarantee the above statements: If any of these things are true, he and his whole family will die tonight.

The office deeply understands that these issues mentioned above are trivial and irrelevant. However, the letters requesting verification are serious, principled, and significant. Therefore, we provide this certified response. In fact, the fundamental issue is that whether one is a practitioner at the level of a teacher or an ordinary practitioner, one must sincerely follow the teachings of H.H. the Third Dodrupchen Rinpoche, listen respectfully to his teachings, practice diligently, benefit sentient beings, care for each other, and use the 128 points of knowledge and discernment to evaluate and distinguish the behavior of teachers, disciples, and all Buddhists. Then, one will come to a conclusion about what is right and what is wrong.
