(Report) The World Buddhist Headquarters, Shengji Temple, Huazang Temple, Charity Temple, and Shengge Lecture Hall jointly organized the grand celebration of the birth of the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche at the Glendale City Hall in Los Angeles County.
More than a thousand Buddhists and laypeople from various states in the United States, Canada, Germany, China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other countries and regions participated.
The ceremony began with the ringing of bells and drums and the chanting of the Buddhist mantra of the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche by thousands of people. The three venerable monks, including Langbo Zha Mang, the director of the office of the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, presented the newly published "Complete Collection of Scriptures" Volumes Four "Teachings in the East," Five "Journey to Taiwan," and Six "Journey to the United States" on the scripture table, and offered them respectfully before the Buddha. This is the re-publication of the teachings of the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche following last year's "Complete Collection of Scriptures" ceremony.
In recent years, with the establishment of centers for listening to the Dharma and practice centers around the world, the public has been inspired to listen to the teachings of the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, using the teachings as the fundamental guide for learning and practicing Buddhism. In order to help the public better understand the true meaning of the Buddha's teachings, the office of the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche has organized many high monks and virtuous ones to transcribe the Buddha's teachings into written form, conducting a large amount of editing, proofreading, typesetting, and printing work, leading to the publication of contemporary Buddhist scriptures. With the transmission of the teachings of the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, the public can deepen their understanding of the Buddha's teachings through listening to the Dharma, reaching profound insights into the scriptures and gaining immense benefits.
After the successful completion of the ceremony, the virtuous ones from the World Buddhist Headquarters descended from the Dharma platform to sprinkle blessing water on the attendees, blessing them to dispel disasters and obstacles, and to bring auspiciousness and well-being.
At the event, attendees were able to purchase the newly published scriptures of the "Complete Collection of Scriptures." Everyone read and studied them with respect, expressing their intention to not only study them personally but also to encourage more people to read and learn, internalizing the teachings of the Third Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche in their daily practice, so that everyone can become morally upright and kind individuals.
