"The Taiwan Daily" March 17, 2000: Yi Yun Gao receives government-awarded Dual Grand Master Celebration Day, with profound knowledge and noble character, becoming the first outstanding achiever in the East.

Explanation of the "Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" Buddha Name#

On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao and the Great Dharma King Yang E Zhi Nuo Bu, who had always been respected by everyone, were recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dijie Qiang Buddha, with the Buddha name being the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". This is similar to how before Shakyamuni Buddha became enlightened, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became enlightened, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". In particular, on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha is also the legal name recognized by the government, and the previous titles of "Yi Yun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Great Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the Buddha name of Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha was announced, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha, which is legal, the names used before the official naming no longer exist.

Profound Knowledge and Noble Virtues, the First Outstanding Achiever in the East#

Yi Yun Gao Receives Government-Designated Dual Master Celebration Day#

(Reported by this newspaper) Master Yi Yun Gao has been awarded the government-designated Dual Master Celebration Day. Although Master Yi Yun Gao himself is not in the United States, his outstanding achievements and moral contributions to humanity have shone brightly in the United States. The California state government and the San Francisco government have both designated March 8, 2000 as the celebration day for the master.

This designation was made by the California state government, signed by Governor Davis, and notarized by Secretary of State Bill Jones. To receive two master celebration days on the same day is truly the highest honor for the first outstanding figure among Easterners. These two honors can only be obtained by truly powerful and extraordinary individuals.

In addition to receiving congratulations from the World Buddhist Federation, many other organizations have also sent their sincere congratulations. The American Tantric Association has sent a letter of congratulations to the master, stating: "Master Yun Gao is the most talented and learned master of this generation in the world. He is the top master of Buddhism and the most renowned scholar of modern times. Based on his outstanding achievements in Buddhism, Buddhist studies, and Buddhist teachings, as well as his extraordinary achievements in humanities, calligraphy and painting, and his noble ethical standards, he has been selected as the world's only 'Super International Master' by 5,612 experts and scholars from 48 countries and regions at the World Poets Cultural Congress. The selection resolution was officially announced on September 15, 1994 in Hungary.

The master's certificate was signed by IOC President Samaranch, among others. Master Yi Yun Gao has profound knowledge and noble virtues, and has made outstanding contributions to cultural exchanges between China and the United States. In view of this, in accordance with the will of the people represented by the government, the Yi Yun Gao Master Hall was built.

This is the first master hall in the world built by a first-level government, officially included in the national administrative system, and recognized by the world's cultural and academic institutions. It is precisely because of his outstanding achievements that the California state government and the San Francisco city government announced the establishment of the dual master celebration day on the same day. This is a great honor for our American Tantric Association and a blessing for Buddhists around the world."
