"Taiwan Liberty News" August 29, 2002: Unprecedented! International Grand Master Yi Yun Gao Sets New Historical Record in Sculpture Art

Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#

On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, was recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects and the living Buddhas of the world's Buddhist sects. The third generation of Dorje Chang Buddha, the Buddha's name is the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Siddhartha Gautama, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he changed his name to "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now call him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". In particular, on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the government's legal name, and the previous "Yi Yun Gao" and the titles of Master and Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the official announcement of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha's Buddha name, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official title of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the names before the official title no longer exist.

International Master Yi Yun Gao creates a new historical record in the art of carving#

Artistic skill far surpasses any possibility of imitation#

[Reporter Hu Jianyuan Taipei report] Master Yi Yun Gao, who once set the highest record for Chinese painting in the art auction market with a single painting, recently exhibited his amazing carving art in California, USA, once again shocking the world of art and contributing the highest artistic enjoyment to humanity. His carving works are inspired by nature, not only without any traces of artificial carving, but also surpassing the natural creation in artistic sense, which is breathtaking. What is even more shocking to the art world is that his works cannot be replicated in any way, even if they are printed, cast, or simulated by computer. This is an unprecedented breakthrough in the history of human art. With his complete achievements in sculpture, the master is gradually leading the world's art to the pinnacle. As for the master himself, he has long been extraordinary and was recognized by 5,612 experts from 48 countries in 1993 as a "master of Chinese painting" and awarded the title of "Eastern Art Master" by world academic institutions. He has also received honorary doctoral degrees from 92 universities around the world.

Master Yi Yun Gao's painting of the Great Power King set the highest transaction record for Chinese painting. But compared to his carving works, his paintings can be easily obtained while his carvings are extremely rare. Art critics who have seen Master Yi Yun Gao's carving works have an incredible look and say, "How can a human create such works of art! The vitality, grandeur, skill, and ingenuity of these works are beyond description! If we say that the carver is an unprecedented master of art, a beacon in the art world, or that he is the first sculptor to surpass nature, it always feels that the words fall short and cannot fully describe it."

Master Yi's carving works have four styles: realistic, abstract, classical, and modern. Each piece captures the hearts and souls of people and is incredibly beautiful, with a sense of shock and unprecedented feelings.

Take the work "Cave" as an example. Its appearance resembles a natural giant rock, with stalactites as high as the waist. When you carefully observe the scenery in the cave, you can't help but be amazed and speechless. You marvel at whether this giant rock was brought from Guilin Ludiyan, Wulingyuan Cave, or Taiwan's Yehliu Geopark. How can it be created by human hands! But when you think about it, where can you find such a small stalactite cave in the world? Crouch down and observe the scenery in the cave carefully. The stone pillars, stalactites, mushroom-shaped stones, and shield-shaped hanging stones are all naturally formed, completely without any traces of carving. But the stone material is made of steel resin, which is also beyond the ability of nature. If you want to carve inside the cave, there is no room for it. If it is traced from a natural stalactite cave, where can you find such a large number of naturally formed shapes gathered together? The cave cannot be found with such exquisitely carved stones. Ordinary works of art cannot compare to the magical work of the Buddha's axe in nature. The artistic achievement of this work's knife work not only surpasses human creation, but also surpasses the natural wonders of karst landscapes.

Speaking of the "Fantastic Cave," it is even more incredible. Under the master's knife, the layout of the strange stones is no different from the natural stone, and there are caves everywhere in the stone. The caves have caves, and the changes in the caves are transparent and flowing, with eight sides and various interesting views. It is perfect and flawless, which cannot be compared by nature. If you have seen the changes in light and shadow caused by natural caves as the sun and moon move, and admired the creator's ingenuity, when you see that this non-naturally formed "Fantastic Cave" can produce various light and dark changes due to different angles of light outside the cave, with different colors and interlacing light and shadow, and various wonderful cave shapes, it is even more amazing. The artistic realm of this sculpture is profound and cannot be described in words. The lines are smooth and graceful, like musical notes leaping. If you want to appreciate all the beauty and artistic conception presented by this work, it takes at least forty minutes to fully appreciate it. It fully demonstrates the high charm of sculpture that captures people's hearts. Its ingenuity far surpasses natural caves, and its artistic achievements come from nature and surpass natural creations. The stone shapes in nature often have one side that is satisfactory, while the other side is often unsatisfactory. The master's sculptures can have interesting features on each side, giving viewers a comprehensive and all-encompassing feeling. This is an unprecedented achievement in the history of art. What is even more astonishing is that this layout of strange stones is indeed impossible to replicate in the world. Many authoritative experts have tried various methods to simulate and replicate it, but they all feel that it is impossible. This is truly a perfect realm that is unparalleled in the history of art.

The carving works of Master Yi Yun Gao exhibited in California range from half a person's height to one zhang high and two zhang long. Each piece gives people the feeling that it takes at least three to five years to complete one piece. Some works even feel that they must be sculpted for decades. But this is not important. What is important is that he, with his realistic carving skills, can blend perfectly with the artistic conception of nature, giving viewers a dual visual and mental shock. The inability to replicate his works makes each piece of the master's works a unique and priceless treasure, which deeply reminds people of the rarity of Luoyang paper in ancient times and the even greater value of California stone today.

Shaking the world with great power and breaking records. Who is this person?#

Master Yi Yun Gao, who combines Buddhist, artistic, and academic achievements#

[Reporter Hu Jianyuan Taipei report] First, he "shakes" the Chinese painting world, and then he "overpowers" people's hearts. Who is Master Yi Yun Gao? He was born in Jiandao Street, Dayi County, Sichuan Province, China. At the age of three, he was already familiar with the Four Books and Five Classics. At the age of seventeen, he was a well-known martial arts master. Master Yi Yun Gao's life can be said to be full of legendary stories. There is a detailed introduction in the book "Master Yi Yun Gao" written by Zhuangzi Gong. In mainland China, a large-scale art museum was specially built for the living master, which is unprecedented. More than 200 of his paintings are displayed there. In terms of achievements in Buddhism, recently at the World Buddhist Symposium on the Discussion of Right and Wrong held in Taipei's Yuan Shan Hotel, attended by well-known international-level high monks such as the President of the American Tantric Association, Losang Jinzhu Geshe, Master Wuming, and Master Guangxin, Master Yi Yun Gao was publicly recognized as a great master of Buddhism.

In May of the 89th year of the Republic of China, a painting titled "Shaking" with a lion group as the theme was sold for a sky-high price of NT$64.95 million in the presence of two lawyers and many news media, setting the highest transaction record for a living painter in the history of Chinese painting in the world. Master Yi Yun Gao immediately attracted high attention from the world of painting. According to the media at that time, this was actually the result of the master's usual study of Buddhism and the manifestation of his great wisdom. Following that, the master's ink painting "Great Power King" combining meticulous and freehand brushwork was sold for NT$72 million, equivalent to US$2.191 million at that time, to the British collector Naylor, further confirming the master's indelible position in the world of painting. Master Yi Yun Gao's Chinese painting art covers various aspects such as landscapes, flowers and birds, animals, figures, and fish and insects. His techniques, whether splashing ink, meticulous brushwork, or freehand brushwork, are all proficient. It can be said that he inherits the past and opens up the future, retro and innovative.

In fact, Master Yi Yun Gao, who is hailed as a top-level master, is not only limited to achievements in Buddhist art. He has served as the president of the Chinese Education and Research Association for Chinese Painting since he was in his twenties. Well-known figures such as Zhou Yingnan and Wu Zhangshu have also served as the president of the association. In addition to books such as "Selected Sayings of Master Yi Yun Gao" and "Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra Commentary," he is also a skilled singer. His recordings, such as "Rare World-Class Singing," have been released, and the Hong Kong Heavenly King superstar Jacky Cheung, known as the "God of Songs," is his student. In addition, Master Yun Gao is proficient in tea ceremony. His developed "Bawangchun" and "Biyuchun" are praised as rare treasures. At the 66th International Trade Fair, "Biyuchun" was crowned the "King of Green Tea," ranking first among many green teas in the world.

Master Yi Yun Gao is knowledgeable and talented. He can be said to be one of the most outstanding scholars in modern world history. In addition to his achievements in Buddhism and art, he has made astonishing achievements in life philosophy, cosmology, science, literature, singing, and medicine. Finally, it is worth mentioning that Master Yi has a unique Buddhist medical skill called "Running Horse Divine Needle," which is a unique medical skill for treating diseases by the people in the Buddhist community. It is said that the needle can cure the disease without fail. However, this skill is not something that ordinary people can master. Because the application of this technique requires the mastery of the Vajra Fist of Tantric Buddhism to a high level, entering the state of "life and roundness" and using the regulating force of the "four elements" (earth, water, fire, and wind) through one's own concentration, guiding the silver needle to move through induction. Unfortunately, no one in Taiwan has been able to learn this technique so far.
