The grand scale of the scripture ceremony on the morning of June 30. The first three books published in the "Complete Collection of the Third Generation Dajieqiang Buddha Canon," namely "Teachings on the Eastern Journey," "Teachings on the Needs of Buddhist Disciples during Travel," and "The True Meaning of the Heart Sutra Expounded through Mind," were presented on the Dharma table in the presence of everyone. The believers recited the "Great Offering Before the Buddha," praised, made offerings, and practiced the Dharma, expressing gratitude for the Buddha's teachings and enlightenment of sentient beings.
According to the records of Buddhist scriptures, after the Buddha, Shakyamuni, attained enlightenment, he preached for 49 years. In the more than two thousand years after the Nirvana of Shakyamuni Buddha, Buddhist disciples gathered multiple times to compile the Buddhist scriptures. Combined with the explanations and commentaries on the scriptures by later generations of patriarchs, the Tripitaka gradually formed. In the history of Buddhism, the Tripitaka has been translated into many different languages. In the process of translation and printing, there are inevitably issues of misunderstanding the meaning of the Dharma and errors in translation.
Zhai Mang, the person in charge of the Editorial Committee of the Canon Collection, stated at the new book ceremony that the "Complete Collection of the Third Generation Dajieqiang Buddha Canon" contains the essence and essential teachings of the Buddhist Tripitaka and Tantric scriptures. It points out the most direct and fastest path for believers to progress and serves as a guide for Buddhist practitioners.
In his many years of propagating and benefiting sentient beings, the world Buddhist Pope, the Third Generation Dajieqiang Buddha, used vernacular language to expound the Dharma. He has also published many Buddhist books, such as "The Essence of Buddhism," "The True Meaning of the Heart Sutra Expounded through Mind," "Debate between Monastics and Laypeople," "Lecture on the Heart Sutra of Prajnaparamita," "Discussion on the Ancestor Bodhidharma's Teachings," "What is Practice," "The Sutra of Understanding," "The Great Handprint of Ultimate Liberation," and "Learning Buddhism." These books clarify the correct principles of Buddhism at various stages from the basic to the profound, and rectify the errors in the Dharma made by past patriarchs and translators.
