HHDCB3Day_Proclamation Mayor Gray of Washington, D.C. proclaimed January 19, 2011 as "H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche Day" to honor and pay tribute to H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche!

(Reporter Cheng Guoer/Los Angeles Report) To celebrate this year's "H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche Day," the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche Cultural and Art Museum and the Holy Relic Temple jointly organized the "Auspicious Blessing and Liberation Activity" in Inner Bay, Marina del Rey, Los Angeles.

In addition to Los Angeles, a special "Celebration of Buddha's Day and Liberation Ceremony" was held at the Charity Temple in Las Vegas. The Huazang Temple in San Francisco held a "Buddha's Day Liberation Ceremony" in Lomond Lake, and the Macang Temple in San Francisco organized a food donation event to celebrate "H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche Day."

In 2010, H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche was awarded the highest honor of the World Peace Prize, and on January 16 of the same year, he received the "Martin Luther King International Service and Leadership Award." In order to pay tribute to H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche and recognize his contributions to the development of world peace, three days later, on January 19, 2011, Mayor Gray of Washington, D.C. issued a proclamation declaring this day as "H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche Day." On December 12, 2012, the United States Senate unanimously passed Resolution 614, congratulating H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche on receiving the World Peace Prize and officially using the title "H.H. (His Holiness)" to address the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche, demonstrating the recognition of H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche's status in Buddhism by the U.S. Congress.

On January 19, 2012, the Sino-American Philatelic Center in Hong Kong held a press conference announcing the issuance of a global limited edition of 2000 sets of "H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche Day" commemorative first day cover, celebrating the one-year anniversary of "H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche Day." This was the first time in the history of the U.S. Postal Service that a first day cover was issued in the name of the Buddha. In the "International Vesak Festival" in 2019, the United States Postal Service once again issued a first day cover featuring the Buddha meditating on a lotus throne.

H.H. The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche's teachings advocate non-violence, compassion, success in career, happiness in family, peace among humanity, and social development. He guides his followers in self-cultivation, promotes moral improvement in society, and works towards world peace.
