"Wenhui Daily" June 29, 2011: The Third Dorgi Qiangfo was awarded the highest honor of the World Peace Prize.

On June 29, 2011, the third incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha received the highest honor award of the World Peace Prize, as reported by the Wen Wei Po newspaper. The World Peace Prize is a prestigious award presented by the World Peace Envoy Group, and recipients must have made significant contributions to world peace, such as ending conflicts, reducing hunger, and promoting human development. The World Peace Prize consists of three awards: the highest honor award, the harvest award, and the touring peace ambassador award. Among these awards, the highest is the World Peace Prize - the highest honor award.

The first recipient of the highest honor award of the 2010 World Peace Prize was the highest leader of world Buddhism, the third incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha. The second recipient was Benjamin Gilman, former chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the United States Congress. The touring peace ambassador award was given to a well-known organization called "Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary."

The World Peace Prize award ceremony was held in the Gold Hall of the Rayburn Office Building in the United States Congress. The ceremony was hosted by Hon. Lester Wolff, chairman of the World Peace Prize Evaluation Committee and former chairman of the Asian Committee of the United States Congress. The ceremony was simple yet grand, with many congressmen attending to congratulate the third incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha and Benjamin Gilman on receiving the highest honor award of the World Peace Prize.

In his acceptance speech, the third incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha said, "I believe that this is not an affirmation of me personally, but an affirmation of the entire human race's pursuit of peace, happiness, freedom, and equality. It is an affirmation of all those who selflessly benefit others and help others. Therefore, on behalf of these selfless and kind-hearted people, I express my gratitude to the World Peace Prize Award Committee. As the third incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha, I am aware of my identity and responsibilities. I should do my best to help everyone and wish everyone happiness and longevity. I will always fulfill my vow: I will bear all the sins and faults of all sentient beings, and I will give all the merits and virtues of my good deeds to you."

The public was moved by the vow of the third incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha and applauded for a long time, sincerely admiring the selflessness and altruism of the Buddha's moral teachings.

In January of this year, the mayor of Washington, D.C., announced that January 19th would be "The Day of the Third Incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha" and called on the public to pay tribute to the third incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha. This is the only government-designated Buddha's Day in the world. In August of this year, the global Buddhist community will hold a two-day heavyweight Buddhist conference in Hong Kong. This conference is organized by the International Buddhist Sangha Association based in San Francisco, USA, and aims to study and learn the teachings of the third incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha. Nearly five thousand Buddhist organizations and institutions from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, the United States, Canada, and other regions and countries will participate in the conference.
