Explanation of the "Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launching ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and people only then learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao and Master Yang E Yi Xinuo Bu, who had always been respected by everyone, were recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects and certified by the living Buddhas. It is the third incarnation of the Buddha Dijie Qiang Buddha, with the Buddha name being the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha. Since then, people have been calling him "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he changed his name to "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha). From then on, the title of Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha was officially established. Moreover, the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha is also the legal name recognized by the government, and the previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Supreme Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the announcement of the Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha's Buddha name, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha, which is legal, the names used before the official naming no longer exist.
Choosing to Sacrifice Life Without Changing the Mind, Achieving the Physical Body of Liberation#
October 12, 2005, Wednesday, Pacific Daily NewsOn September 29, the Baoguang Temple, a famous ancient temple in Xindu, Sichuan, held a grand cremation ceremony for the disciple of Master Yun Gao, layman Wang Duchuan, and obtained 225 solid relics after cremation.
Layman Wang Duchuan and his wife are both university professors. After their retirement, they were able to study Buddhism under the guidance of Master Yun Gao and practice diligently. After Master Yun Gao left Chengdu, Professor Wang and his wife voluntarily requested to stay at the temple.
During this period, some kind-hearted people advised them to go home, and some people came to threaten and entice them, but they were not moved at all. Professor Wang said: No matter how others slander and defame, I only believe in the truth. Although I have only followed the master for a few years, the master I have seen is a kind, upright, and compassionate saint who always puts the interests of the public first. He is willing to suffer and work hard for the peace and happiness of sentient beings. The master's teachings are profound and flawless, and all he teaches us is how to practice virtue. Where is there any of the things they slander? I am a professor, a Buddhist, I do not lie, and I cannot betray my conscience. I will only be loyal to my teacher and never become a despicable person who deceives the teacher and destroys the ancestor! Therefore, over the years, no matter the storms, rumors, or threats, they have never left the temple until their house was demolished by bulldozers due to urban construction, and they tearfully bid farewell to the place.
A few months ago, Professor Wang showed signs of illness. Even in his illness, Professor Wang became even more diligent in practicing the Buddhism taught by Master Yun Gao. On September 24, Professor Wang said, "Teacher, I can't wait for your return anymore, I'm going to leave." On the afternoon of September 26, Professor Wang passed away peacefully, without any pain, lying on his right side facing the Buddha's image. At that time, the top of his head became warm, and in an instant, it opened and formed a diamond shape, about three centimeters long and two centimeters wide. On the morning of the 27th, when Venerable Jixin, the abbot of Baoguang Temple, prepared the shrine for Layman Wang, the joints of his hands and feet were still soft. After Venerable Jixin verified it, he said: it has been accomplished, the solid relics will definitely be burned.
On the afternoon of the 29th, the chanting began at 4:30 pm. Just before that, nectar fell from the sky and continued for a while after the fire was lit. During the entire cremation period, many sacred phenomena appeared. Some people saw a golden Buddha statue smiling, some saw a golden body Arhat in Layman Wang's abdomen, wearing a monk's robe. Some saw Buddha light, some saw the sun and moon shining together, and even people who didn't study Buddhism saw mantras arranged in words... At that time, people present suddenly heard the voice of Master Yun Gao chanting the Six-Syllable Great Mantra from a distance, blending with the sound of chanting. After the cremation ceremony, a total of 225 solid relics were collected.
What does this great news tell us? It completely demonstrates that a Buddhist disciple who corresponds to the three realms of existence has finally achieved liberation! On the other hand, what is the fate of those who deceive their teachers and destroy their ancestors?
