Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, was recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects and the great living Buddhas of the world's Buddhism. The third generation of Dorje Chang Buddha, the Buddha's name is the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have been calling him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Siddhartha Gautama, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he changed his name to "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now call him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the government's legal name, and the previous "Yi Yun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Dafa Wang no longer exist. However, this news was published before the official announcement of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha's Buddha name. At that time, people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the name used before the official naming of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. However, everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the previous name no longer exists.

(Reporter Song Wenwen Seattle report) Following the disciple of Master Yi Yun Gao, Professor Hou Yushan, who attained the essence of the Pure Land Dharma and ascended to the Pure Land of Bliss, this matter is being widely discussed. On August 6th, Liu Hui Xiu, a Buddhist disciple, passed away and ascended to the Pure Land, without the signs of the Eight Sufferings and the dissolution of the Four Elements. What's even more amazing is that she achieved the "high state of the practitioners in the Buddhist world, sitting in nirvana with her physical body" and ascended to the Western Pure Land of Bliss. At that time, colorful auspicious clouds slowly moved westward in the sky. Lin Yongmao, who was by her side, gratefully said that his wife's ability to sit in nirvana and attain liberation was all thanks to the Dharma transmission and secret hand seal of their Dharma King, Master Yi Yun Gao, especially the secret seed word in the center of the hand seal, which was very important.
Liu Hui Xiu, who passed away at 9:55 am on August 6th, sat with her hands clasped in the posture of sitting in meditation. Even when she was taken to the funeral home, her body remained soft, sitting with her hands clasped, with a peaceful and solemn expression. Her family specially made a coffin with her sitting posture, which amazed everyone.
According to Liu's husband, Lin Yongmao, the two of them searched and sought on the path of cultivation. They worshipped and sought refuge with many masters in Taiwan and internationally, but none of the methods they practiced were effective. It wasn't until three years ago that they found Master Yi Yun Gao and heard about the true Dharma of the Tathagata from him. They were greatly astonished and then decided to take refuge under the guidance of the Master. However, at this time, his wife Hui Xiu was suffering from cancer and had visited many famous doctors and tried various medicines, but to no avail. This year, they had the opportunity to meet the Master and take refuge under him. On July 7th, due to his wife's weakness and inability to travel far, he flew from Seattle to Los Angeles to seek an audience with the Dharma King, Master Yi Yun Gao, on behalf of his wife, to seek liberation and ascension to the Pure Land. Originally, it was not allowed, but fortunately, the compassionate Master saw that his wife could practice the Great Dharma of ascension, so he made an exception to transmit the Dharma to him. He transmitted to him the essence of the Amitabha Dharma and the Nianfo method, as well as the secret hand seal of ascension, and told him that after using this hand seal, if the seed word was engraved, one should not casually recite "Namo Amitabha Buddha", because as soon as one recites it, the Buddha or Bodhisattva may immediately appear to receive you, unless you have decided to ascend to the Pure Land of Bliss. After his wife received the Dharma, she diligently practiced the Dharma four or five times a day, even with her terminal cancer.
On July 9th, after transmitting the Amitabha Dharma to Lin Yongmao, Master Yi Yun Gao went to the Bodhi Monastery to give a sermon to the monks there. The Master immediately predicted that a female disciple would soon sit in nirvana and ascend to the Pure Land of Bliss. At that time, he recorded the prediction on tape, and the tape has been sent to Buddhist temples around the world to listen to the Master's sermon.
On the evening of August 5th, Lin's wife became weak and seemed to be on the verge of death. Lin Yongmao urgently called Master Yi Yun Gao in Los Angeles from Seattle, requesting his blessings to help his wife ascend to the Pure Land of Bliss before her death, and asked if he should let his wife sit with her hands clasped and prepare for ascension. But the Master on the other end of the phone said, "Let her sleep first. She won't leave today. She will leave tomorrow. She won't leave tonight." Lin Yongmao worriedly said to the Master, "Master, it's not good! What if she passes away in her sleep and can't reach the Pure Land of Bliss?" Master Yi Yun Gao said firmly, "Just let her sleep peacefully. She will leave when she wakes up tomorrow. She won't leave tonight!" So Lin's wife listened to the Master's words and lay down to sleep. At three o'clock, Lin's wife woke up and told her husband that she had just been to the Pure Land of Bliss, which was incredibly beautiful and indescribable. Lin Yongmao asked his wife, "Who took you to the Pure Land of Bliss?" His wife replied, "I don't know." He asked again, "How did you get there?" His wife replied, "I flew there on a blanket!" He asked again, "How beautiful is the Pure Land of Bliss?" His wife replied, "There are mountains and water, it's incredibly beautiful!" She didn't let him ask any more questions and quickly resumed her practice.
At five o'clock in the morning, Lin's wife woke up again and said, "I'm leaving! I'm going to the Western Pure Land of Bliss!" Then she sat with her legs crossed and formed the hand seal of ascension. After about half an hour, Lin Yongmao saw that his wife had passed away and entered the intermediate state. He immediately called the Dharma King, but he couldn't get through after making more than twenty calls. It was obvious that the Master had turned off his phone. So Lin Yongmao urgently called the Master's attendant, KUAN, and asked him to convey the news that his wife had passed away and to request the urgent blessings of the Master. Due to the urgency of the situation, KUAN urgently reported to the Master that Sister Liu Hui Xiu had passed away. Unexpectedly, the Master laughed and said, "Nonsense! That's not true! The time for the Buddha and Bodhisattva to receive her hasn't come yet, so how could she leave!" KUAN thought to himself that Brother Lin Yongmao saw Sister Liu Hui Xiu by her side and saw that she had stopped breathing and had passed away and ascended, so how could this not be accurate? But the Master who was thousands of miles away said that she hadn't left yet. Because he had been with the Master almost every day for the past three years, he had full confidence in what the Master said. He wanted to call Lin Yongmao and tell him that their sister had not yet passed away, but he didn't know Lin Yongmao's phone number, so he gave up and went back to sleep!
It wasn't until 7:55 am that day that Venerable Longhui, the President of the International Buddhist Sangha Association, received a call from Master Yi Yun Gao. The Master said, "The student Liu Hui Xiu in Seattle has not yet passed away, but she will pass away soon! Please arrange for some monks to help her recite scriptures and perform rituals." At that time, Venerable Longhui immediately notified the monastic sangha of the three temples to take immediate action. As expected, Liu Hui Xiu passed away and entered the intermediate state again around 8 o'clock, and she opened her eyes at 9:55 am before finally passing away. At that time, colorful auspicious clouds appeared in the sky and slowly dissipated, lasting for over an hour. The monks at the Bodhi Monastery saw the beautiful auspicious clouds in the sky at that time and captured them on camera. It happened to be Liu Hui Xiu's fiftieth birthday that day.
After Liu Hui Xiu sat in nirvana, she maintained her sitting posture, which was extremely auspicious. This news immediately spread in the Buddhist community. It is no wonder that the American National Organization composed of 34 countries, including the United States and Canada, has concluded that Master Yi Yun Gao holds the highest true Dharma. Indeed, his Dharma can make people free in life and death. Not only did he allow his disciples to achieve liberation from life and death in a short period of time, but he also made three accurate predictions about the state of Liu Hui Xiu's nirvana, demonstrating the profound meaning of true Buddhism. The world's Buddhist community praises the great Dharma King as the true Dharma King, and the greatness of the realization of the Buddha Dharma and the truth of the Buddha Dharma. Especially Lin Yongmao said that without the true essence of the Dharma of the Pure Land transmitted by the Master, Liu Hui Xiu's short period of practice would not have achieved such great merit to ascend to the Western Pure Land of Bliss! Moreover, it was said that she left as soon as she said so, freely sitting in nirvana. He said that he, who was by his wife's side, was not as aware of his wife's nirvana situation as the Master who was thousands of miles away, which truly explained the problem. After discussing with their family, they decided to preserve their wife's sitting posture peacefully and not cremate her anymore.
