Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launching ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, who had been respected by everyone, was recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dorje Chang, with the Buddha name being the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha." This is similar to the fact that before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha." Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha." Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the legally recognized name by the government, and the previous titles of "Yi Yun Gao" and Master, Supreme Holder Dafa Wang no longer exist. However, this news was published before the official announcement of the Buddha name of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official title of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. However, it should be clear that, except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the previous names no longer exist.
"Corporeal Ascension" Buddhist Disciple Liu Huixiu's Freedom in Life and Death#
[Taipei News] Following the disciple of Master Yi Yun Gao, Professor Hou Yushan, who attained the essence of Pure Land Dharma and ascended to the Pure Land, this matter is currently being widely discussed. On August 6th, Buddhist disciple Liu Huixiu also ascended to the Pure Land, and she did not experience the suffering of the Eight Hardships or the dissolution of the Four Elements. What's even more remarkable is that she left peacefully without any signs, saying that she was leaving. It is astonishing that she achieved the "high standard realm of corporeal ascension" that practitioners in the Buddhist world strive for. At that time, colorful auspicious clouds slowly moved westward in the sky. Her husband Lin Yongmao, who was by her side, gratefully said that his wife's ability to achieve such a remarkable corporeal ascension and complete liberation was all thanks to the Dharma transmission and secret hand seal of their Dharma King, Master Yi Yun Gao, especially the secret seed syllable in the center of the hand seal, which is of great importance.
Liu Huixiu, who passed away at 9:55 am on August 6th, sat in a crossed-legged position with her hands in a mudra when her soul departed. Until she was taken to the funeral home, her body remained soft, sitting in a crossed-legged position with her hands in a mudra, her face calm and dignified. Her family specially made a coffin with her sitting posture, which amazed everyone.
According to Liu's husband, Lin Yongmao, the two of them had been searching for the path of cultivation. They had visited many masters in Taiwan and internationally, but none of the methods they learned were effective. It wasn't until three years ago when they found Master Yi Yun Gao and heard the true Dharma of the Tathagata from him that they were greatly astonished and decided to take refuge under his guidance. However, at that time, his wife Huixiu was suffering from cancer and had visited many doctors and tried various medicines, but to no avail. This year, she had the opportunity to meet the Master and take refuge under him. On July 7th, due to her wife's weakness and inability to travel far, he flew from Seattle to Los Angeles to seek an audience with the Dharma King, Master Yi Yun Gao, on behalf of his wife, to seek liberation and ascension to the Pure Land. Originally, it was not permissible, but fortunately, the compassionate Master saw that his wife could practice the Dharma of ascension, so he made an exception and transmitted the Dharma to him. He transmitted the essential teachings of the Amitabha Dharma and the secret hand seal of ascension to his wife, and informed him that after using the hand seal, one should not casually recite "Namo Amitabha Buddha" because as soon as one recites it, the Buddha or Bodhisattva may appear immediately to receive you, unless you have decided to ascend to the Pure Land. After receiving the Dharma, his wife diligently practiced the Dharma four or five times a day, despite her terminal illness.
On July 9th, after transmitting the Amitabha Dharma to Lin Yongmao, Master Yi Yun Gao went to the Bodhi Monastery to give a teaching to the monks there. The Master immediately predicted that a female disciple would soon ascend to the Pure Land. The prediction was recorded at that time, and the recording tape has been sent to Buddhist temples and centers around the world to listen to the Master's teachings.
On the evening of August 5th, Lin's wife appeared weak and seemed to be on the verge of death. Lin Yongmao urgently called Master Yi Yun Gao in Seattle and requested his blessings to help his wife ascend to the Pure Land at the moment of her passing. He asked if he should let his wife sit in a mudra and prepare for ascension. However, the Dharma King on the other end of the phone said, "Let her sleep first. She won't leave today. She will leave tomorrow. She won't leave tonight." Lin Yongmao worriedly said to the Master, "No, Master! What if she passes away in her sleep and can't reach the Pure Land?" Master Yi Yun Gao said firmly, "Just let her sleep with peace of mind. She will leave when she wakes up tomorrow. She won't leave tonight!" So Lin's wife listened to the Master's words and lay down to sleep. At three o'clock, Lin's wife woke up and told her husband that she had just been to the Pure Land, and that the Pure Land was so beautiful that it was indescribable. Lin Yongmao asked his wife, "Who took you to the Pure Land?" His wife replied, "I don't know." He asked again, "How did you get there?" His wife replied, "I flew there on a carpet!" He asked again, "How beautiful is the Pure Land?" His wife replied, "There are mountains and water, and it is so beautiful that it is indescribable!" His wife didn't let him ask any more questions and quickly resumed her practice.
At five o'clock in the morning, Lin's wife woke up again and said, "I'm leaving! I'm going to the Western Pure Land!" Then she sat in a crossed-legged position and formed the ascension hand seal. After about half an hour, Lin Yongmao saw that his wife had passed away and her breath had ceased, so he immediately called Master Yi Yun Gao. He made more than twenty calls in a row, but couldn't get through, indicating that the Master had turned off his phone. So Lin Yongmao urgently called the Master's attendant, KUAN, and asked him to convey the news that his wife had passed away and requested the urgent blessings of the Master. Due to the urgency of the situation, KUAN urgently reported to the Master that Sister Liu Huixiu had passed away. Unexpectedly, the Master laughed and said, "Nonsense! That's not true! The time for the Buddha and Bodhisattva to receive her hasn't come yet, so how could she leave!" KUAN thought to himself that Brother Lin Yongmao saw Sister Huixiu by her side and saw that she had stopped breathing and had passed away and ascended to the Pure Land. Isn't that accurate? But the Master, who was thousands of miles away, said she hadn't left yet. Since he had been by the Master's side almost every day for the past three years, he had full faith in what the Master said. He wanted to call Lin Brother and tell him that their sister had not yet passed away, but since he didn't know Lin Brother's phone number, he gave up and continued sleeping!
It wasn't until 7:55 am that day when Venerable Longhui, the President of the International Buddhist Sangha Association, received a call from Master Yi Yun Gao. The Master said, "The student Liu Huixiu in Seattle hasn't passed away yet, but she will pass away soon! Please arrange for some monks to help her with chanting and perform the rituals." At that time, Venerable Longhui immediately notified the monastic sangha of the three temples to take immediate action. As expected, Liu Huixiu, who had entered the intermediate state of existence after 8 o'clock, opened her eyes again. She didn't pass away until 9:55 am. At that time, colorful auspicious clouds appeared in the sky and slowly dissipated, signifying a auspicious passage to the Western Pure Land. The clouds lasted for over an hour before dissipating. The monks at the Bodhi Monastery saw the beautiful auspicious clouds in the sky at that time and captured them on camera. It happened to be Liu Huixiu's fiftieth birthday that day.
After Liu Huixiu's corporeal ascension, she maintained her sitting posture, which was extremely auspicious. This news immediately spread in the Buddhist world, which is why the American National Organization composed of 34 countries, including the United States and Canada, concluded that Master Yi Yun Gao holds the highest true Dharma. Indeed, his Dharma enables people to be free in life and death. Not only did he allow his disciples to achieve life and liberation from death in a short period of time, but he also made accurate predictions about Liu Huixiu's passing, whether it be in the long term, near term, or immediate term, demonstrating the profound meaning of true Dharma. The world's Buddhist community praises the great power and authenticity of the Dharma King. In particular, Lin Yongmao said that without the true essence of the Dharma of the Pure Land transmitted by the Master, Liu Huixiu's short period of practice would not have had such great merit to ascend to the Western Pure Land! Moreover, she left as soon as she said she was leaving, demonstrating the freedom of life and death through corporeal ascension. He said that he, who was by his wife's side, was not as aware of his wife's passing as the Master, who was thousands of miles away. This truly explains the situation. After discussing it with their family, they decided to preserve their wife's sitting posture peacefully and not cremate her.
