Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, was recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects and the great living Buddhas of the world's Buddhism. The third generation of Dorje Chang Buddha, the Buddha name is the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have called him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Siddhartha Gautama, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he changed his name to "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". In particular, on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the name recognized by the government. The previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Dafa Wang no longer exist. However, this news was published before the announcement of the Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha's Buddha name. At that time, people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official recognition of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the names used before the official recognition no longer exist.
Art Master Yi Yun Gao's "Rhyme Carving" New Work Transcends Nature#
Born in Sichuan, known as the giant of the East, the world-renowned international master Yi Yun Gao, completed and created the sculpture art "Mysterious Mist in Stone" and "Pebble Hanging Veil" using the unique "Rhyme Carving" technique in the United States. The works were exhibited in Monterey, where the Chinese population is the highest. According to the artist here, Master Yi's sculptures not only represent the highest artistic achievement of sculptors in history, but also surpass the artistic nature of all his previous works.
The recently completed "Mysterious Mist in Stone" by Master Yi Yun Gao is carved from artificial steel resin, with the appearance of real stone texture. Although the stone is small, looking into the cave, there are layers of mountains, giving the impression that the cave is far away. The layers inside the cave are countless and magically changing. Some places are obscured by mist, which appears like a thin veil, enveloping the surroundings, which is astonishing. "Pebble Hanging Veil" contains various colors, exuding a spiritual and beautiful aura, with ever-changing and mysterious qualities. It can be described as reaching the realm of "God's work surpassing nature, elegant and transcendent". The exhibition organized by the Yi Yun Gao International Cultural Foundation showcased three works: "Mysterious Mist in Stone," "Midheaven Arhat Cave," and "Pebble Hanging Veil," as well as photos of "High Scholar Portrait," "Heavenly Pose Stone," and "Household Stone."
Mayor Liu Daqiang of Monterey presented a certificate of commendation to the Yi Yun Gao International Cultural Foundation, which organized this sculpture exhibition, on behalf of the Monterey City Government. In his speech and subsequent interview with reporters, he said: Master Yi Yun Gao's artistic expression is very special and unique. It is beyond imagination that the Buddha's work is not made by nature. If you didn't know, you would think it was naturally formed. He has never seen such a good work of art. Seeing such a high level of artistic expression, Mayor Liu praised Master Yi as a shining star of Chinese descent, a descendant of the dragon, and a person who has brought glory to the foreign land. He expressed the highest respect for the achievements of the Chinese in the United States. He said that Master Yi's works have opened his eyes. Such outstanding works are truly rare in the world, and the author must be a rare genius. No wonder one of Master Yi's works can sell for millions of dollars.
Former Mayor of Monterey and current City Councilor Alonzo, on behalf of State Senator Zhao Meixin, also presented a certificate of commendation. Alonzo praised Master Yi's works as unique and very special.
Among the attendees of the exhibition were people from all over the world, including Los Angeles College Board of Trustees member Donna Warren and Mark Gonzaga, who were seeking support. After seeing the works, Donna Warren said in her speech: She has traveled to many scenic spots around the world, and she feels that Master Yi's works are more beautiful than the naturally formed Blue Grotto in Lebanon or the natural rocks in Hawaii. Master Yi has opened up new realms and territories for art, which deeply moved her.
People who came to visit the exhibition came from all over the world, including high-ranking monks such as the Great Living Buddha Xirao Gengdeng, Hengxing Jiacao Rinpoche, Bodhi Wentu Rinpoche, and Gongla Rinpoche, as well as many artists and collectors.
A collector surnamed Guan who visited the exhibition said that Master Yi's artistic realm has surpassed the fine art created by famous artists throughout history, bringing a wonderful enjoyment to human cultural life. However, the art under the master's knife is beyond the reach of previous artists, because the achievements of artists in history cannot surpass the energy and realm of natural art. The magical stone carvings created by nature, such as stubborn rocks, caves, stalactites, cliffs, waterfalls, and the magical stone artifacts created by natural formations, compared with Master Yun Gao's sculptures, can no longer be compared in terms of beauty. His works not only surpass the natural artistic structure in terms of naturalness but also far exceed the beauty of natural mountains and rocks in terms of modeling and layout. In the history of human cultural art, there has never been such an art creation that can surpass nature.
Dr. Douglas Menric, the director of the Presidential Library and Museum, praised Master Yi's works after visiting them, saying: The master's works are so magical that it is unimaginable that such wonderful works can be carved by hand. Works such as "Hanging Veil on Shell Cliff," "Fantastic Cave," and "Midheaven Arhat Cave" far surpass the formations of nature. Especially the "Mysterious Mist in Stone," although small in size, changes in a thousand ways under the light, with profound and unpredictable beauty. What is even more amazing is that there is natural mist floating in the stone cave gorge, which is difficult to understand. Experts say that craftsmanship can carve solid objects, but how can it carve gas? However, everyone can see the layers of the mist in the "Mysterious Mist in Stone," the mist is deep and locked, vividly present in front of our eyes. It cannot be denied but cannot be explained. It can only be said that Master Yi's artistic realm has reached the level of "God's work surpassing nature, incomprehensible". He said that Master Yun Gao's sculptures were completed in the United States, creating a glorious chapter in the world's human culture.
According to descriptions by Master Yi Yun Gao's assistant, when Master Yi created these rare treasures, he worked tirelessly for more than ten hours without stopping, often having lunch in the evening. He always says that life is like a dream, and there is nothing to calculate. The rise and fall of fame and fortune are not worth worrying about! As an artist who transcends international boundaries, Master Yi Yun Gao's motivation for creation always focuses on constantly surpassing the artistic realm. Whether it is the materials used in creation or the materials used, they are all seeking new breakthroughs. When carving, using steel resin as a material is a breakthrough in materials, and the creation surpasses the natural formation, creating art that cannot be replicated. The unprecedented mist in the stone cave is the concrete result of Master Yi's continuous self-challenge and self-transcendence. It is precisely because of this that the master has become the only creator of the world's Rhyme Carving art, writing a brilliant new chapter in history.
Tian Boyuan, Vice President of the Yi Yun Gao International Cultural Foundation, believes that Master Yi's many astonishing achievements are derived from his profound and extensive knowledge and ethics, his selfless Bodhi holy realm, and his great contributions to humanity!
