Explanation of the Title "Third Sakyamuni Buddha" #
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Sakyamuni Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and people then learned that the highly respected Master Yiyun and the Venerable Yange Yixi Nobu, who had been respected by all major Buddhist sects around the world, were recognized by the leaders or regents of various major Buddhist sects worldwide as the third reincarnation of the Buddha Sakyamuni's primordial body, with the title of the Third Sakyamuni Buddha. From then on, people began to refer to him as "Namo Third Sakyamuni Buddha." This is similar to the situation before Sakyamuni Buddha became enlightened, where his name was Prince Siddhartha. However, after Sakyamuni Buddha became enlightened, he was referred to as "Namo Sakyamuni Buddha." Therefore, we now refer to him as "Namo Third Sakyamuni Buddha." Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially bestowed the title of His Holiness on the Third Sakyamuni Buddha (H.H. the Third Sakyamuni Buddha). From then on, the title of Namo Third Sakyamuni Buddha was established. Furthermore, the Third Sakyamuni Buddha is also the legal name recognized by the government, and the previous titles of Master Yiyun and the Venerable Yange Yixi Nobu no longer exist. However, this news was published before the official announcement of the title Namo Third Sakyamuni Buddha, when people did not yet understand the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official designation of the Third Sakyamuni Buddha, but everyone should be clear that except for the name H.H. the Third Sakyamuni Buddha, the previous names no longer exist.

(Zhilian) Wang Cheng, a layman from Xindu County, Sichuan, China, is 81 years old. The old layman practices the Guanyin method under the guidance of the Venerable Yixi Nobu, the Vajra Master, who is his close relative. Last year, he suddenly felt discomfort in his waist. After being diagnosed by doctors at the 47th Hospital, it was believed to be bone cancer. In March of this year, the old layman exhibited the signs of the four great decompositions. On April 13, he was taken to the Chengdu General Hospital by his children. After examination, there were no symptoms of bone cancer, all indicators were normal, and the electrocardiogram and electroencephalogram showed no signs of illness, indicating good health. However, the X-ray chest film on April 18 showed that both lungs were completely invisible, a blank space. The doctors were very surprised, as they had never seen such a situation before. Further examination confirmed that both lungs had completely stopped functioning, with no breathing function, unable to inhale or exhale. Everyone was extremely puzzled - isn't a lack of breathing a sign of death? But Wang Cheng, the layman, was still alive despite not breathing, and could speak normally. Someone placed a small feather in front of the old layman's nostrils and mouth, and after watching for more than ten minutes, the feather did not move. The old layman had completely stopped breathing, but was still alive and speaking normally. The doctors considered this to be a miraculous symptom, a wonder in the medical field and even in the entire human world. In this way, the old layman was able to speak and move for over a month despite both lungs completely ceasing to function. Of course, everyone did not understand - this was the proof of the old layman's practice of Buddhism.
