Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#

On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao and the Grand Master Yang Yi Xino Bu, who had been respected by everyone, were recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dorje Chang, with the Buddha name being the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have been calling him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now call him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha), and since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the legally recognized name, and the previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Grand Master no longer exist. However, this news was published before the announcement of the Buddha name of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, when people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the previous names no longer exist.

The Voice of Buddhists#

In today's world, if we only look at the surface, there are Buddhist flags and temples everywhere, and there are living Buddhas and masters everywhere, each claiming to be like the Buddha, the supreme teacher. And there are even more Buddhists, so many that they are like fish crossing a river. However, when we compare the words and actions of these self-proclaimed Rinpoche and masters with the Tripitaka left by the Buddha, we find that they have all created their own set of teachings, leaving people feeling at a loss. Therefore, it is an opportunity for all Buddhists and sentient beings to understand what true Buddhism is and to have a clear guide on the path of practice, distinguishing between genuine teachings and charlatans, so that they can successfully embark on the path of learning Buddhism and liberation from birth and death. Therefore, the United International World Buddhist Headquarters has convened this conference to discuss the true and false aspects of Buddhism, which is no less significant than the gathering of the five hundred bhikkhus in the past. This is not only a major event in our Saha world, but also in the entire Buddhist world.
Everyone knows that in learning Buddhism, the first requirement is to seek liberation from birth and death, and the second is to save sentient beings based on one's own liberation, so that all sentient beings can understand the law of cause and effect, follow the teachings, and be liberated from the cycle of suffering. Now, Shakyamuni Buddha has long told us that there are eighty-four thousand methods to achieve enlightenment, such as Zen, Pure Land, Vinaya, Huayan, Faxiang, Yogacara, and Tantra, all of which are correct paths, and all methods can lead to liberation. Countless sentient beings have achieved enlightenment through these methods, and the essence lies in "responding to circumstances and following the teachings". For example, those who have studied Tantra will understand that before starting the practice, they must first study the scriptures. Some need to study a hundred treatises, some study thirteen, and at the very least, they need to study the five major treatises of Vinaya, Prajnaparamita, Abhidharma, Madhyamaka, and Yogacara. The purpose of studying the treatises is for these practitioners to grasp the basic theories of Buddhism. Based on the mastery of these theories, they can further study the three yogas and then seek the empowerment of the Vajra Guru, step by step, in their practice. Therefore, Tantra is indeed supreme and magnificent, but not everyone can teach this supreme and magnificent Tantra. Now, if you open a newspaper at random, you will see living Buddha empowerments and transmission of teachings by Dharma Kings, some even claiming to be invincible in the world. Regardless of whether they have a foundation in Buddhism, as long as they pay money, they can receive empowerments and teachings. Is this true Tantra? In fact, these living Buddhas and masters are all frauds! Let's take a simple example. Zhang Hongbao, who was also reviewed at this conference, openly claims to be a Tantra master, but he also claims to be a disciple of Guiguzi. I ask you, is there such a Tantra master? Isn't this a fraud? There are also some superficial secularists who criticize Tantra without a deep understanding of it and without the ability to debate based on scriptures. This is also a manifestation of false masters.
Another example is Li Hongzhi, who claims in his book that he is the highest, higher than all the Buddhas combined, and that he has killed thousands of Buddhas in order to find him. Please think about it, if someone doesn't even understand the basic common sense of Buddhism and slanders the Buddha everywhere, what are they if not demons and monsters? The same goes for Qinghai and Song Qili, who use the banner of Buddhism, throw around Buddhist terms, and deceive people everywhere, causing social chaos. Therefore, the conference concluded that these four individuals are cults and demons, which is appropriate!
At the same time, the conference voted to elect Master Yi Yun Gao as the authentic Buddhist master, which is truly the happiness of all sentient beings in the Saha world. As the President of the American Tantra Association, Living Buddha Losang Jinzhu pointed out in his speech at the conference: Master Yi Yun Gao's writings and teachings not only completely conform to the meaning of the Buddha's Tripitaka and the ten major Tantras, but his personal conduct is of high virtue and his wisdom is all-encompassing, fully meeting the standards of a Dharma King who is "proficient in both exoteric and esoteric teachings, and possesses the five types of wisdom". His level of realization is also the same as that of Great Master Lianhua Sheng, Marpa Lotsawa, Atisha Dipankara, and Tsongkhapa. He is truly an authentic Buddhist master and the refuge of all sentient beings.

After serious and thorough review, the conference made judgments on what is right and what is wrong.
