Explanation of the "Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launching ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao and Yang E Yi Xi Nuobu Dafa Wang, who had been respected by everyone, were recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dijie Qiang Buddha, with the Buddha name being the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha. Since then, people have been calling him "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha is also the legal name recognized by the government, and the previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the titles of Master and Dafa Wang no longer exist. However, this news was published before the announcement of the Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha's Buddha name, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha, which is legal, the previous names no longer exist.

The World's Treasure, the Pride of the Chinese People, Celebrated by All#
Following the honor of receiving the title of International Supreme Grand Master at the World Poets Cultural Conference in 1995, Master Yi Yun Gao once again received the most sincere respect from the people of California for his comprehensive and unparalleled achievements.
In order to commend and praise Master Yi Yun Gao's outstanding achievements in Buddhism, art, science, ethics, and morality, and to pay the highest tribute to Master Yi Yun Gao's great contributions to humanity, Governor Davis of California officially designated March 8th as Master Yi Yun Gao Day on behalf of the state government. Mayor Willie Brown Jr. of San Francisco also independently proclaimed and designated the same day as Master Yi Yun Gao Day. This honor is the highest honor ever bestowed on an Eastern person in American social history.
Master Yi Yun Gao is the most outstanding Buddhist master, painter, and calligrapher in modern Chinese history, and even in Chinese history. Whether it is meticulous or freehand landscape, flowers, figures, birds, and beasts, the master's attainments have reached the pinnacle, surpassing countless famous painters in history. From the master's development of China's first premium tea, Biyu Chun and Bawang Chun, to the numerous patented and first-class award-winning medical drugs, one can glimpse the master's outstanding achievements in science. The master's achievements in Buddhism, philosophy, and ethics are admired and emulated by people all over the world. Whether it is the master's selected philosophical sayings or other works, they are regarded as important teaching materials internationally. The honors in other aspects vary, but in short, the master's achievements in various fields have reached the top position. Therefore, this move by the California government is a well-deserved glory for the master and a great honor for us as Chinese people.
