In response to a small group of evil individuals who fabricated, slandered, and defamed H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha in the "Phoenix Weekly," the author of this article conducted thorough investigations and collected evidence from multiple sources, using concrete facts and clear real examples to correspond to the slanders in the "Phoenix Weekly." This exposes the ignorant, incompetent, and oppressive nature of the deceitful Dalai group hiding behind the scenes, and allows everyone to understand that the noble morality, compassionate wisdom, and the complete enlightenment and five wisdom achievements of H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha are the greatest in the history of our world.

I hope everyone can sincerely establish more benefits for others and widely share this article so that everyone can understand the truth of the Buddha, learn the complete morality and wisdom of the Buddha, and let Buddhism enable everyone to live happier lives, making our world better, auspicious, peaceful, and joyful! This truly benefits all sentient beings.

The Hong Kong "Phoenix Weekly" published a lengthy article at the end of last year, directly stating that H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha had been wanted and was in charge of a religious fraud group. In response to this lengthy article, many Buddhist practitioners from various sects presented facts proving that the "Phoenix Weekly" did not conduct an investigation, and the report tarnished the sacredness, leading to a lawsuit against the "Phoenix Weekly."

In the 28th issue of the "Phoenix Weekly" in 2013, the cover headline boldly stated "Wanted Living Buddha Yiyun Gao's Religious Fraud Group Exposed," featuring a lengthy 10-page article directly targeting H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha. The extensive article aimed to portray H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha as a religious fraudster, claiming that his institutions and disciples were accomplices in achieving religious fraud.

Common sense dictates that any influential magazine reporting on such a serious topic should strive for objectivity, fairness, and credibility to prevent misleading the public. However, the "Phoenix Weekly" lacked rigorous analysis and evidence, did not provide any opportunity for H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's side to clarify relevant issues, and completely disregarded the basic process of normal news reporting, having only one purpose: total denial! The article's author, a special contributor named Wang Jialiang, yielded no results in searches, indicating it is a pseudonym.

An article targeting a famous person and significant event, authored by a ghostwriter, filled with falsehoods, vulgar language, and chaotic logic, cannot withstand scrutiny. It undoubtedly raises questions and can be legally recognized as infringement in any country! The "Phoenix Weekly" disregarded such serious consequences, willing to ruin its long-standing reputation to smear H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha, which is inconsistent with the norms of media operation! The "Phoenix Weekly" is evidently under immense pressure or driven by enormous interests; either way, there are forces behind the scenes pushing this matter—at any cost, to engage in a business that is sure to incur losses—slandering H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's reputation! Who is behind this and the reasons for it will be evident to the readers as they read on.

H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha would not care about this matter at all. The Buddha came to this world due to significant causes and conditions, for the benefit of sentient beings during the Dharma-ending age. In the eyes of the Buddha, slander and praise are merely illusions, arising and ceasing. Those who have seen and understood the Buddha would scoff at the article, deeming it nonsense! However, readers who do not understand the truth and the Dharma may be misled, unconsciously accepting the negative information conveyed by the article, leading them to doubt or deny the subject of the report. Such results are very unfair to these sentient beings. If they understood the truth, perhaps they would have the causes and conditions to study the true Dharma and plant the seeds for Buddhahood or even achieve liberation in this lifetime! This is the purpose of this article.

Therefore, the author first wants to introduce H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's achievements in this world to those with affinity; these achievements are solid and without any embellishment. Everyone has the right to know the truth. Then, the author will refute the defamatory views of the "Phoenix Weekly" one by one and inform readers of the truth, allowing them to discern right from wrong.

The Achievements of H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha Are Real#

  1. The True Achievements of Dorje Chang Buddha

The highest realm of the Dharma as stipulated in the Buddhist scriptures is "complete and perfect in both the exoteric and esoteric teachings, and profound understanding of the five sciences." Can these few words be mere words? To be complete in these eight words means to be complete in all worldly and transcendental matters.

By 2008, the book "The Third Dorje Chang Buddha" was published, documenting the thirty categories of true achievements of the Buddha, proving the complete and perfect understanding of the exoteric and esoteric teachings, and confirming the prophecy of the Buddha's descent!

H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha received numerous world-class honors and achievements before and after his identity was certified. In 1991, he was awarded the title of "Master of Eastern Arts"; in 1994, at the World Poets Cultural Conference attended by representatives from 48 countries and regions, he was selected as a "Special International Master" by 5,612 experts and scholars, a title equivalent to that of a head of state. He also received the only "Fellow" from the Royal Academy of Arts in the UK in over 200 years and obtained a doctoral certificate. He served as a professor at a prestigious university in the United States for nine years and received special recognition from the university. In 2010, he was awarded the "World Peace Prize" by the U.S. Congress, along with the Martin Luther King World Leader and International Service Award, and the Presidential Gold Medal. On January 19, he was proclaimed "Third Dorje Chang Buddha Day" by the government of Washington, D.C., becoming the first Buddha Day in the world, and the Washington Postal Service issued a commemorative first-day cover.

The total number of his achievements and the breadth of their scope have yet to find a second person in the world who can match them. The thirty categories of achievements of the Buddha cannot be fully contained in a thick book; how can an ordinary person like me explain them clearly? To give readers who have not read this book a brief understanding, I will summarize as follows:

Poetry and lyrics, with the elegance of the Tang and the essence of the Song; literary discussions and writings, with profound learning; priceless paintings and inscriptions; magnificent Buddhist statues and architecture; exquisite craftsmanship, with hidden intricacies; countless medical prescriptions: miraculous needles that cure all ailments, restoring health in an instant! The true Dharma of the Buddha, teaching without error, with a clear and profound voice; the inner wisdom of causality, at the highest sacred place, five initiations, the Buddha bestowing sweet dew; liberation hand seals, the highest in the world; countless accomplished disciples; miraculous powers and realizations, unmatched in the world; the return of ancient Buddhas, relied upon by sentient beings; unparalleled in history, with no equal!

In fact, even if I exhaust my words, I cannot fully articulate the achievements of the Buddha! These are ironclad facts; as a disciple of the Buddha, who would not feel fortunate to have such a great saint residing in this world? In the Dharma-ending age, a great saint descends, a rare encounter in a thousand years, how fortunate indeed! How can the "Phoenix Weekly" and the slanderers belittle such an accomplished and selfless person, insisting on labeling him as a fraud?

The artistic skills of Dorje Chang Buddha are so extraordinary that I cannot reproduce them in this article; I can only mention that some of his works are priced at tens of millions of dollars, which speaks volumes. Here, I will quote two pieces of poetry that I like for the readers' enjoyment. The ancients said poetry expresses aspirations, and writing reflects the person; thus, a person who can produce such lofty, bold, and elegant works, infused with the true essence of the Dharma, would be described by the "Phoenix Weekly" as being at a primary school level?

At the age of 16, Dorje Chang Buddha wrote the lyrics to "Nian Nu Jiao": "Suddenly entering the universe, the vast world, standing tall amidst countless obstacles. A hundred kinds of elegance shine brilliantly, ultimately concluding with a smile. Golden red heralds dawn, morning bells urge the moon, revealing the traces of the world. Sentient beings rush along, as if smoke dissolving into snow! Once recalled, the past years of Yungao, the empty door of literature and martial arts, the lion's roar shatters. Three thousand afflicted visit my door, day and night, I apply the miraculous needles. A million thoughts, the path of profound wisdom, shaking the three realms. May all my life's endeavors be for the benefit of sentient beings."

Next, let’s look at the powerful and elegant "Guan Shan Zhi" written by Dorje Chang Buddha at the age of 21, which can be compared to Du Fu's "Wang Yue":
Guan Shan Zhi
(Five-Character Regulated Verse)
Is Mount Tai really so? The five mountains have yet to connect.
The mountain moon inquires about the glow of the clouds, clear eyes in Qi and Lu.
Stirring emotions intoxicate the intestines, the clouds and the roc measure the crows and crows.
High ascending to the Jade Emperor, having seen through all the small mountains.

  1. Analysis of the Defamatory Content of the "Phoenix Weekly" and the Truth

The "Phoenix Weekly" lists six categories of accusations against H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha, which I will quote and then analyze and refute while providing real information.

  1. The matters listed by the "Phoenix Weekly" were not investigated.
The "Phoenix Weekly" claims that Dorje Chang Buddha built a master hall in the country to display his achievements, which was later sealed off, and that he was actually a painter at Baoguang Temple, expelled for misconduct. The titles of Special International Master and the identity of the revered Yixi Nobu Wang were obtained with the help of two Taiwanese individuals, who in turn were certified by him as a Dharma king and living Buddha.

The master hall mentioned in the "Phoenix Weekly" was officially funded by the Dayi County government and approved by the Municipal Development and Reform Commission to honor H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's remarkable achievements at that time. Such high-level government treatment and both domestic and international reputation came from the voluntary goodwill of officials and institutions. If the "Phoenix Weekly" claims that all of this was manipulated by two Taiwanese businessmen, how could the Chinese government be so incompetent as to be controlled by two Taiwanese businessmen? Why would the Buddhist institutions, government officials, and prominent figures in various fields, as well as high monks and virtuous individuals seeking the Dharma, willingly allow themselves to be fooled by two Taiwanese individuals? The "Phoenix Weekly" unilaterally denies the wisdom of all those involved at that time!

As for the work done at Baoguang Temple, it was assigned by the Sichuan Provincial Government, and there were other staff members at the same time. Leaving Baoguang Temple was also due to the government arranging for all staff to leave together and be reassigned. Moreover, why does the "Phoenix Weekly" look down on the work of a painter? If the artistic skills have reached the highest level, does it matter if you call him a painter or a master? As previously mentioned, the title of Special International Master was selected by thousands of scholars from 48 countries, certified by the President of the International Olympic Committee, Samaranch; how could two Taiwanese individuals assist in that? Why not let the "Phoenix Weekly" try to produce a Special International Master?

Before H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha was certified as the return of an ancient Buddha, his identity was "Yixi Nobu Wang," and he is known as the Supreme Dharma King of the Esoteric School. It is well-known that the certification and realization of a Dharma king can be verified. To say that two Taiwanese individuals helped him obtain the title of Dharma king is truly laughable; can a Dharma king's title be obtained just by assistance? To speak so lightly and disrespectfully about the serious and solemn certification of a Dharma king is not only ignorant but also insults all Dharma kings in the world. Furthermore, the article claims that H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha certified Wu Wentou and Hengsheng Rinpoche as Dharma kings and living Buddhas, which is completely unfounded; they each have their own legitimate certifications, and only H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha did not certify them.

  1. China requested Interpol to lift the wanted status in 2008.
The "Phoenix Weekly" claims that H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha is a religious fraud wanted by the Chinese government for ten years, having defrauded disciples Liu Juan and Liu Baihang, and fled to the United States after being wanted in 2001.

A person can only be labeled a fraud after a court has ruled them guilty of fraud; until a ruling is made, no one can be labeled a criminal, which is a basic principle of human rights. Does the "Phoenix Weekly" know this? Which country's court has ruled that this person is guilty of fraud? Where is the judgment? In fact, H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha has never been criminally prosecuted by any court in any country, let alone convicted; on the contrary, he has been recognized by the U.S. Congress with a unanimous vote of resolution.

The so-called victim of the fraud case, Liu Juan, personally wrote a statement to the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court and recorded a video on the spot, stating that she was not defrauded at all, and that everything was a deliberate frame-up. This statement was notarized by U.S. officials and signed by the consul of the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles, providing solid legal evidence. Why did the "Phoenix Weekly" not report this? The same applies to the case of Liu Baihang; if it were true, why did the victim publicly declare that it did not happen? Especially since the conference of top legal experts in China unanimously determined that there was no crime. The "Phoenix Weekly" cannot make its case.

The fact is that at the end of July 1999, Dorje Chang Buddha was invited by the internationally renowned Getty Museum in the United States, and he left China with legal documents, and has not returned to China since; this can be verified. It was in April 2003 that the so-called fraud case reported by the "Phoenix Weekly" came to light, and claiming he fled due to guilt is a complete misrepresentation. To say that someone who is overseas and framed is a criminal on the run is a blatant distortion; is this reporting of facts or a deliberate attempt to mislead the public?

The individuals related to the framing of H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha were sentenced to 11 years in prison by the Hong Kong court in 2004 for conspiracy to commit fraud. After their embezzlement scheme was discovered by Dorje Chang Buddha, their personal interests could not be satisfied, leading them to attack and frame him, resulting in the so-called cases of Liu Juan, Liu Baihang, and the wanted notice. Interpol had indeed received a request from a member country to arrest H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha, but years later, that member country actively requested the lifting of the wanted notice. After a long investigation, Interpol lifted the wanted notice and the entire case at the 72nd meeting of the "Interpol Document Control Committee" in October 2008, issuing a formal notification stating that no Interpol member country should detain H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha. The "Phoenix Weekly" turns a blind eye to these facts, absurdly claiming that China is still pursuing him; do you mean that the Chinese government publicly requested Interpol to lift the wanted status while secretly continuing to persecute him? The Chinese government would not agree with your viewpoint.

The "Phoenix Weekly" claims that the Guangdong police continue to issue wanted notices, which only proves that someone has indeed framed H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha! It should be pointed out that the national request to Interpol to lift the wanted notice indicates that the highest level of investigation has reached a conclusion; why is the wanted notice from Guangdong still in effect? Why is the Shenzhen police not executing the highest national order? Is this a sign of contempt for the central government? Or is it that the Shenzhen police are applying the laws of another country? Are those who have taken the opportunity to seize and divide H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's assets, including hundreds of paintings, trying to cover their corrupt actions by continuing to spread rumors? Who is the tiger? Who is the fly?

The institutions and individuals that once framed H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha should reflect on the past and consider the future; the Buddha is compassionate and does not wish to pursue the matter, but does that mean no one else will pursue it? Karma is not lost; will the laws and justice of the world not pursue it? If one does wrong, they should correct it; can evil deeds expect good rewards? Rectifying wrongs is only a matter of time. This is akin to the evil people persecuting Shakyamuni Buddha 2,500 years ago! The "Phoenix Weekly" is unable to distinguish right from wrong, disregarding the facts to smear H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha, truly a case of wanting to add a crime without any basis!

  1. H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's identity as a Buddha is not self-proclaimed; the evidence is overwhelming.
The "Phoenix Weekly" claims that H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's identity is self-proclaimed to deceive sentient beings. Some representatives of Tibetan Buddhism deny his identity as a Buddha, some Dharma kings say there is no certification, and some living Buddhas claim that just by looking at the photo, it is not right; the hair and clothing do not meet the requirements, among other reasons.

If H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha were to use a fabricated Buddhist identity to deceive sentient beings, this would be intolerable for any Buddhist organization, religious group, or high monk adhering to the true Dharma of the Buddha. It is an inescapable responsibility to expose such deceitful behavior. It should be announced with righteous indignation, just as the "Phoenix Weekly" seems to be doing!

So, which Buddhist organizations and notable individuals have played such a righteous role? Throughout the article, the "Phoenix Weekly" mentions a Buddhist organization called "a certain Tibetan religious foundation," claiming to represent Tibetan Buddhism, whose head is named Dawa Tsairen, who directly accused the Third Dorje Chang Buddha group of being a fraud group; a Dharma king named Sakya Dharma King stated in an interview with a Taiwanese media outlet that he has never certified the 'Third Vajra Holder Buddha'; a living Buddha named Tang Rangjiwa from the Tar Monastery believes that H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha does not conform to Tibetan Buddhism in appearance, and that the clothing and hairstyle are incorrect, claiming that there are problems just by looking at the photo. In addition to these three bases, the "Phoenix Weekly" mentions a netizen and a defector from H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's system named "Mr. Gao." In total, there are five sources of evidence. It is not difficult to see that the "Phoenix Weekly" has been quite lazy in its work to prove that H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha is a fraud; altogether, even counting the netizen, there are only five, which is rather thin. However, it does not matter; if H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's side is self-proclaimed, then they have no evidence at all, so five is still quite a lot. Unfortunately, the documents certifying, endorsing, and congratulating H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's identity exceed 60. This number is unfavorable for the "Phoenix Weekly." Quantity cannot win; if the institutions and individuals speaking have weight, that would be acceptable. Among these five pieces of evidence, the most weighty are the "certain Tibetan religious foundation" claiming to represent Tibetan Buddhism and the Sakya Dharma King; although few, they carry significant weight. The representatives of Tibetan Buddhism and the Dharma King, what status and position do they hold! Undoubtedly, this is also the direct basis for the "Phoenix Weekly" concluding that H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha is a religious fraud!

Finally, the important figure appears; the true identity and full name of the "certain" Tibetan foundation whose head is Dawa Tsairen is the Dalai Lama Tibetan Religious Foundation! It is only natural for such a world-renowned Buddhist organization to expose a Buddhist fraud; why does the "Phoenix Weekly" quote its statement yet dare not publicly report its name, instead using a "certain" character to replace it? What reason makes them think that the words "Dalai Lama" would lead to their demise? A discerning person will understand here.

Let’s also look at another significant figure—the Sakya Dharma King. On December 10, 2006, the Sakya Dharma King wrote a certification letter to Bai Ma Dorje Rinpoche, and on December 21, 2006, Chu Chengqupei held the certification letter written by the Sakya Dharma King in his hand as evidence and wrote a congratulatory letter. However, after the publication of "The Third Dorje Chang Buddha" in 2008, Chu Chengqupei claimed that he had forged the certification letter. Subsequently, the International Buddhist Sangha Association clarified that the certification letter was genuine and pointed out the true reason for Chu Chengqupei's repentance, requesting that Sakya Tianjin Dharma King publicly state that he had not certified; Sakya Dharma King did not respond.

In May 2012, the International Buddhist Sangha Association and other organizations sued the Dalai Lama's Tibetan government-in-exile in Taiwan for maliciously defaming H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's group; in the second half of 2012, Sakya Tianjin Dharma King, a member of the Dalai Lama's government-in-exile, under pressure, secretly denied having written a certification in Taiwan. The International Buddhist Sangha Association subsequently published testimonies from relevant parties proving that Sakya Tianjin's denial was unfounded. In 2012, Bai Ma Dorje Rinpoche again publicly proved that on December 10, 2006, Sakya Tianjin Dharma King wrote a certification letter for H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha in Nepal, personally handing it to him; this certification letter is the one printed in "The Third Dorje Chang Buddha." Let’s take a step back and ask the Dharma King, if you are truly a saint, should you not know in advance if your disciple is going to make a mistake? If you know and do not stop it, are you still a righteous deity? You must have seen the book; why did you not speak up at that time and only deny it more than a year later?

Let’s ask the living Buddha Tang Rangjiwa who holds a negative opinion: should one not use the criteria of the Dharma to judge whether H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha is genuine? Shouldn’t you at least meditate and observe this person? Is it really determined by looking at photos, clothing, and hairstyle? Furthermore, if Tang Rangjiwa has not written a written certification, who is the one holding the certification text in the photo? Why pick on the Buddha's hair? Which Buddha statue does not have hair? Shakyamuni Buddha has a head full of curly black hair; Dorje Chang Buddha not only has long hair but also adorns himself with the eight auspicious symbols; moreover, Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, Samantabhadra, and Padmasambhava all have hair longer than shoulder length. If one does not even understand this basic knowledge of the Dharma, how can they talk about certification? Ultimately, is H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha fake, or do some people not even have the ability to observe?

In reality, H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha has never claimed to be a Buddha as accused by the "Phoenix Weekly"; on the contrary, he always refers to himself as a humble practitioner, and his identity as the return of an ancient Buddha is publicly certified by major Buddhist sects worldwide. More than 60 renowned Dharma kings, regents, and great rinpoches have certified, endorsed, and congratulated H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's esteemed status, including the master of the 17th Karmapa, the regent master of the Gyalwa Karmapa, the regent of the Shamarpa, the master of the Dalai Lama, the master of Dorje Chang Buddha, and many others. Such a great saint descending into the world is a blessing for sentient beings, and Shakyamuni Buddha and all Buddhas of the ten directions must pay respect and praise the sentient beings for their fortune!

Can the "Phoenix Weekly" erase these? Ignoring dozens of certifications while treating the denials of two or three lowly immoral individuals as evidence, while being evasive, it is clear where the power behind the "Phoenix Weekly" comes from. What is the reason for this?

The article in the "Phoenix Weekly" has already admitted that because of the descent of H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha, he is undoubtedly the leader of world Buddhism, and all Buddhist leaders around the world will be demoted to leaders of their respective sects! In fact, H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha has never behaved in such a manner; it is those who consider themselves Buddhist leaders who are worried and afraid. If this leader truly possesses the holy realization of a Dharma king, he would not worry; it is best for the Buddha to benefit sentient beings. The ones truly afraid of being "demoted" and losing authority are those who claim to be Buddhist leaders but lack holy realization. Because a true Buddha has descended, those who have relied on hereditary titles, pretended to be divine, and issued orders have lost their place.

The Buddha brought the true Dharma, using clear and simple language to teach the exoteric and esoteric meanings of the Dharma; sentient beings with affinity will truly understand what the Dharma and the path to liberation are. In order to demonstrate the Buddha's supreme and complete blessings, as well as the selfless altruism of true Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha vows to only liberate sentient beings and not accept offerings from them. In this way, he has truly put an end to the future of those who deceive others while wearing the cloak of the Dharma, feeding on the Buddha's blood, consuming the Buddha's flesh, and robbing the wealth of sentient beings! With H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha in the world, there is no possibility for them to confuse sentient beings. How can this not make those who live by this hate him to the core? It is inevitable for them to jump out and insult, slander, and defame; it is also a desperate measure, and if not, would they willingly go to learn the Dharma from the Third Dorje Chang Buddha and not accept offerings? Those who are not true saints but possess high status and immense interests will not easily give up.

Thus, those who do not understand karma, do not believe in karma, and defame the Buddha while daring to call themselves Buddhist leaders! Thinking that after Shakyamuni Buddha's passing, there would be no great saints returning? All sentient beings are the relatives of the Buddhas of the three times and ten directions; Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will respond to causes and conditions, descending into the world in various ways to continue the Dharma, subdue demons, and protect sentient beings until they achieve Buddhahood!

All those who deny H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's identity can be divided into two types: one is the intentional deniers, maliciously slandering, who are fundamentally afraid of the fact that H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha has descended; the other is out of ignorance, using their limited and shallow understanding to make wild claims about the infinitely profound Dharma, judging the supreme Buddha's realization with their ordinary minds, unaware of their own ignorance, merely being like the man who loves dragons but has never seen a real one. They do not recognize the true dragon because it does not match the dragon they see in the painting; is this the dragon's problem or the problem of the so-called believers who claim to love and believe in dragons?

H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha said: "What I am is not determined by anyone else, nor is it determined by the certifications and endorsements of Dharma kings and living Buddhas, but by the essence of my own words and actions. Therefore, I am still the humble practitioner I have always been, without increase or decrease; slander does not stain me, and praise does not illuminate me. I am merely a humble servant before the public. The Fourth Dorje Chang Buddha, the supreme holder of the Great Perfection, said it well: gold remains gold even in mud; no matter how much you polish brass, it remains brass. What use is certification?" Reflecting on it, when Shakyamuni Buddha came to this world, who certified him? Was it not his realization and teachings that perfected the Buddha's enlightenment? H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's achievements and enlightenment are unmatched in this world; who has the qualification to certify him?

  1. The World Peace Prize is noble and authentic; the U.S. Congress has passed a resolution.
The "Phoenix Weekly" claims that someone replaced the People's Daily's praise of the Third Dorje Chang Buddha; the organization awarding him the "World Peace Prize" is an international fraud group, and the International Buddhist Sangha Association and other organizations lack credibility and recognition.

The overseas edition of the People's Daily indeed published an article certifying H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha on July 28, 2011; two months later, it issued a statement saying that someone had unilaterally replaced the content. This statement has been treasured by those who have been defamed, including the "Phoenix Weekly." How could such a major newspaper take two months to issue a statement after publishing incorrect content? The International Buddhist Sangha Association clarified that it has nothing to do with this matter, has not advertised for H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha, nor does it need to. The People's Daily did not deny H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's identity, nor can it.

According to public information, the 2010 "World Peace Prize Award Ceremony" was held by the World Peace Prize Selection Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, with the annual awardees being H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha and former House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Benjamin Gilman, while the Peace Ambassador Award was given to the U.S. Civil Air Patrol Search and Rescue Organization. Since its establishment in 1989, the "World Peace Prize" has awarded notable individuals, including former U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Indian Mahatma Gandhi.

The image above: Chairman Park Jun-kyu of the World Peace Envoy Group presents the World Peace Medal to the highest Buddhist leader H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha (right).

The "Phoenix Weekly" claims this is an international fraud group, and the awardees are all jokes. So, does that mean that former U.S. President Ronald Reagan, Indian Mahatma Gandhi, and others who have also received this award are also jokes? This logic should be clarified by the "Phoenix Weekly." If U.S. law, Congress, and the public all consider it a legitimate organization, but the "Phoenix Weekly" deems it an international fraud group, whose problem is that? Furthermore, on December 12, 2012, the 112th U.S. Congress Senate unanimously passed Resolution 614, recognizing the World Peace Prize and honoring President Reagan, H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha, and the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee; if we follow the "Phoenix Weekly's" viewpoint, are the U.S. Congress senators and the U.S. Congress also a fraud group?

The "Phoenix Weekly" also accuses the International Buddhist Sangha Association and other organizations of lacking credibility and recognition. May I ask what legal identity these organizations possess, and which of their actions has harmed the harmonious development of humanity and world peace? How can they lack credibility and recognition? Who do they need to recognize them? Who wishes to have recognition over them? Speaking of recognition, the "Phoenix Weekly" quotes the Dalai Lama Foundation as a representative of Tibetan Buddhism; using the logic of the "Phoenix Weekly," since others need recognition, I must ask, who recognizes the Dalai Lama's identity as a representative of Tibetan Buddhism? Just as the International Buddhist Sangha Association pointed out: "The Dharma King of the Gelugpa in front Tibet is the Dalai Lama, the Dharma King of the back Tibet is the Panchen, and the leader in Mongolia is the Zhanja Hutuktu. The supreme leader of the Gelugpa is Master Tsongkhapa, but Master Tsongkhapa is not the leader of all Tibetan Buddhist sects, and the Dalai Lama has even less qualification; the Dalai Lama is merely the leader of the Gelugpa in front Tibet. The religious and cultural department of the Dalai Lama's government-in-exile can only represent the political institution of the Dalai Lama himself and does not have the qualification to recognize anyone; who recognizes the Dalai Lama as the leader of Tibetan Buddhism? He is not the ancestral leader of all major Tibetan Buddhist sects. Who recognizes the government-in-exile? This political institution, which has no territory and no citizens, claims to represent all Tibetan Buddhism; who recognizes it?" The current Dalai Lama only has a certification letter written by the fifth Dalai Lama, and none of the other sects recognize him or have written certifications for him. If H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha's identity has received over sixty certifications and endorsements, why can the "Phoenix Weekly" publicly deny it, while it recognizes the Dalai Lama's identity with only one certification? Is it hereditary? Is one certification truly the real Dalai Lama? Can a fake represent the true Dharma of the Buddha? Not to mention that the Dalai Lama is merely an ordinary person posing as a saint; even if all those living Buddhas who deny or wish to deny H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha were combined, could they carve mist from stone? Or could they create a colored sculpture (please visit the International Art Museum in the U.S. to see the sample)? Who among the Dalai, Dawa Tsairen, Sakya Tianjin, or Tang Rangjiwa can do that? Even if you can find someone among your companions who can do it, I will acknowledge that you possess true Buddhist wisdom, and what you say counts. Go and be ashamed!

In 2012, multiple self-immolation incidents occurred in Tibet, and the Dalai Lama told American reporters: "I am very certain that the reason these self-immolators sacrificed themselves is due to their sincere motives, for the benefit of the Dharma and the people; from the perspective of Buddhism, this is positive." Dawa Tsairen stated that in Buddhist doctrine, self-immolation for oneself is not permitted, but self-immolation for the benefit of others is a noble sentiment. The Buddha also sacrificed himself to feed a tiger. Where is the true Dharma of the Buddha in this? Since the history of Buddhism in this world, which Buddha or Bodhisattva has not been willing to sacrifice themselves to save sentient beings? Where would one sacrifice sentient beings for their own benefit? Sacrificing oneself to feed a tiger means the Buddha sacrificed his own body to nourish sentient beings, not the body of others! If you believe that self-immolation is positive in Buddhism and worthy of praise, why do you not self-immolate for the cause of the Dharma? Do not impose on others what you do not desire for yourself! Using sentient beings' trust and devotion to let them die innocently for your own interests is a cruel act! How many sentient beings' wisdom lives have been severed, undoubtedly under the guise of the Buddha's name, are evil!

Now let’s look at the words and actions of H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha. At the World Peace Prize award ceremony, Dorje Chang Buddha said: "I believe that receiving this award is not a recognition of me personally, but a recognition of all humanity's pursuit of peace, happiness, freedom, and equality; it is a recognition of all those who selflessly benefit others and help others. Therefore, I will eternally uphold my vow: all the karmic offenses created by sentient beings I will bear, and all the merits of the good deeds I cultivate will be given to you." In the Buddha's teachings, it is all about how to benefit sentient beings, how to be selfless and altruistic, how to achieve liberation, how to achieve world peace, and how to burn oneself to save sentient beings! In contrast to the likes of the Dalai Lama, who rely on offerings from sentient beings for their livelihood and earn money through ticketed speeches, the Buddha vows to liberate sentient beings in the Dharma-ending age, not accepting offerings but only benefiting sentient beings. The contrast is clear; who is holy and who is ordinary is evident, and the venom of the "Phoenix Weekly" is truly shocking!

  1. Huazang Temple only has statues of Shakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, and other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
The "Phoenix Weekly" claims that Huazang Temple only houses the statue of the Third Dorje Chang Buddha and does not house the Dharma image of Shakyamuni Buddha. The Third Dorje Chang Buddha has no hair, ironically, he is said to have developed a hair growth product.

Is there a statue of the Buddha in Huazang Temple? Just go and take a look; the Dharma image of Shakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Avalokiteshvara, and Maitreya Bodhisattva are all enshrined in the main hall, and there is not even a statue of H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha. Isn’t this a low-level lie? Furthermore, to insult the Buddha by saying he has no hair and mocking him for developing a hair growth product, I would like to ask the person who wrote this content, have you ever seen H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha? Even if you haven't seen him, why not ask someone who has? Anyone who has had the fortune to meet Dorje Chang Buddha knows that he has a full head of black hair and has returned to youth, very dignified; even this simple fact must be lied about and denied. The person providing this information to the "Phoenix Weekly" may have been sent specifically to calculate against the "Phoenix Weekly," which is a high-level black operation against them. From another angle, what does having no hair have to do with developing hair growth products? To invent beneficial products for humanity should not only be praised but also ridiculed; such "rigorous" and "mature" logic is truly laughable.

With even a little understanding of the Dharma, one can undoubtedly verify that Dorje Chang Buddha's teachings are the true Dharma; moreover, what person can erase the Buddha's realization in this world? May I ask, who among the "Phoenix Weekly" is the fraud? To confirm the truth, one must at least possess more ability than the person being accused or have personally experienced what they are talking about to have the right to comment, right? In terms of moral endurance, you are not capable; in terms of teaching the Dharma, you are not a match; in terms of actual realization of the Dharma, you are miles away; in terms of worldly knowledge of the five sciences, you have none; in terms of achieving liberation for sentient beings, there are countless cases, casually sending people to the Pure Land, saving them from suffering. May I ask, on what basis do you say that the person who is better than you is not capable? Why are you unwilling to acknowledge that they are stronger than you? You must create trouble out of nothing, damage others' reputations by any means necessary, and go to any lengths; what is the reason for this? Please provide a reason that can stand up to scrutiny!

The influence of public opinion is immense; thus, countries around the world have legal regulations for media engaged in news reporting: the content reported must be based on facts and cannot mislead the public. How things are said can lead to entirely different outcomes. Therefore, those engaged in journalism must be objective and speak with facts. However, the "Phoenix Weekly's" report completely disregards relevant legal regulations and goes against the professional ethics upheld by journalists worldwide. Legally, it is undoubtedly an infringement; from a journalistic perspective, it is a disgrace to the profession.

A name like "Phoenix" should not roost on a parasitic tree, nor drink from a sweet dew; it should be elegant and pure, never degrading itself! The "Phoenix Weekly" has sullied the name of the phoenix; from now on, it should not be called that. How can it willingly become the mouthpiece for others, disregarding the attitudes of the central government, the Hong Kong government, and the U.S. Congress? With such a lack of principles and sincerity, openly betraying human rights and morality, what place is there for the public's wisdom? Openly slandering and framing H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha, what place is there for the Dharma and karma?

The "Phoenix Weekly's" purpose in voicing the slanders of the Dalai Lama and others against H.H. the Third Dorje Chang Buddha is unattainable; on the contrary, more sentient beings will plant the seeds of Buddhahood by hearing the name of the Third Dorje Chang Buddha. Otherwise, the achievements of Shakyamuni Buddha in liberating sentient beings would not hold. This is the true essence of karma.
