Bhikkhuni Shi Longhui and Shi Juehui, who have committed sins and obstacles, have completely unverified, distorted, defamatory, and slanderous reports against "Phoenix Weekly". The International Buddhist Sangha Association held a press conference in Hong Kong to address this issue. However, the statement issued afterwards did not include "H.H." before the legal Buddhist name of H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche, and we also added the secular name after the Buddhist name. This has violated the basic rules of a bhikkhuni and at least constitutes slanderous words and actions. Since the publication of the Buddha's precious book in 2008, more than a hundred leaders and certified and endorsed living Buddhas from various sects have confirmed the legal Buddhist name of H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche. Of course, H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche does not take this as a standard and does not agree with it. He also considers himself as a humble servant. However, what is more important and fundamental is that the title of H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche is legally determined by the government. Therefore, the original secular name should not be used anymore. It is extremely unethical for the two of us from the International Buddhist Sangha Association to create such a disrespectful title in the statement. This is a grave offense and has caused insult to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and to the Buddha's teachings, leading to the accumulation of negative karma. As the leaders of the International Buddhist Sangha Association, we sincerely repent for this serious offense against the Buddha's teachings and all sentient beings. We hereby publicly declare that from now on, all Buddhist disciples can only use the legal Buddhist name "H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche" in any written or spoken form, and they must not commit the same negative karma and obstacles as us.
