Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#

On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, who has always been respected by everyone, has been certified by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dorje Chang, with the Buddha name being the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have been calling him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he changed his name to "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now call him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha), and since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the government's legal name, and the previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the titles of Master and Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the announcement of the Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha's Buddha name, at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha, so in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, the names used before the official naming no longer exist.

September 11, 2004, A6 edition
Tang Xie Le Hui, a resident of Xinfan, Chengdu, Sichuan, a disciple of Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, with the Dharma name Shi Xin Hui, passed away at the age of 84 on the evening of July 16, 2004, the 16th day of the 7th lunar month, guided by Amitabha Buddha to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss!

Tang Xie Le Hui, also known as Tang Po Po by her family and friends, her whole family has been practicing under the guidance of Dafa Wang for many years. She often said, "My children and grandchildren have all been able to learn the true Dharma from Dafa Wang, this is the happiest and proudest thing in my life." Tang Po Po had great respect for Dafa Wang, and Dafa Wang cared for her with great compassion. One time, Tang Po Po suffered from frozen shoulder and couldn't lift her hand, the pain was unbearable. Dafa Wang comforted her, saying, "It's okay, I'll give you an injection and you'll be fine." It was winter at the time, and Dafa Wang gave her an injection through several layers of thick winter clothing, and she was immediately healed! Many years later, when Tang Po Po talked about this, it was still mysterious and amazing.

One day in June of this year, she told her family, "Last night I saw a very tall and big Dharma protector, his face was as big as a door, he told me that in the second half of this year, I will go to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss." By the second half of the year, she meant from the 16th day of the 7th lunar month to the end of the year. On August 15, which was the 30th day of the 6th lunar month, Tang Po Po showed signs of approaching death, and her family immediately reported to Dafa Wang. With the help of Dafa Wang's Dharma power, Tang Po Po became very peaceful and calm that night. Not only was Tang Po Po peaceful, but the whole house and the entire yard were filled with auspiciousness. The next day, at noon on the first day of the 7th lunar month, several Buddhist disciples who came to help with the chanting saw a cloud of silk hanging in the sky. In the evening, the sky over the Chengdu Basin, which had been covered with dark clouds, suddenly cleared up above Tang Po Po's residence, revealing a clear and starry night sky, with stars twinkling like diamonds. It was on this night that Tang Po Po passed away.

Tang Po Po diligently practiced reciting mantras according to Dafa Wang's instructions. She only drank a little glucose water every day and took meditation as her food. She spent all her time doing her homework and reciting the Amitabha Buddha mantra and Dafa Wang's sacred mantra. After more than twenty days of diligent practice, her mind became clear and she could speak fluently, and a fragrance emanated from her mouth. The people around her were amazed.

On the night of August 31, around 11 o'clock in the evening, Tang Po Po's daughter, Tang Yu Rong, was combing her mother's hair. As she was combing, Tang Po Po suddenly turned to her right side, lying in a auspicious posture, and Tang Yu Rong saw her mother suddenly smile, a warm current spread over her head, and her smile remained fixed. The whole house was filled with brightness and auspiciousness. Tang Yu Rong immediately reported to Dafa Wang, and Dafa Wang said, "She has achieved complete enlightenment, she has achieved accomplishment." Tang Yu Rong looked back at her mother, and at that moment she saw that Tang Po Po's face and skin had turned a faint red color, which was a sign of Amitabha Buddha guiding her to ascend. On the afternoon of September 6, the 22nd day of the 7th lunar month, Tang Po Po's body was cremated and her remains were turned into relics at the Baoguang Temple in Xindu, Sichuan. Before the cremation, there was a blessing of holy rain. As soon as the cremation began, a sacred scene appeared in the cremation furnace! The crowd of people who were chanting saw a cloud of silk hanging in the sky above the cremation furnace. The sound of applause, cries of joy, laughter, and vows accompanied the chanting of the Buddha's name, and in the raging flames, red and blue lights kept flashing. Fire phoenixes and golden-winged birds flew out of the light, and the protectors of the Dharma, the golden dragon protector and the vajra protector, stood tall. The auspicious tiger emitted light all over its body, and the golden lion spat out blue lotuses and had blue lotuses in its eyes. The appearance of Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang's Dharma King appearance, Head Monk appearance, and Master appearance were all revealed. Adar Ma Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Maitreya Bodhisattva, and Tsongkhapa appeared in each lotus flower, and the magnificent world of Ultimate Bliss and the towering Mount Sumeru also appeared at the same time! Tang Po Po had a double-layered lotus platform under her feet and in her hands, supporting her as she sat, with a smile on her face and a blue light radiating from her whole body, merging into the light of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas! The sacred scene of the Buddha's land continued to appear, and there was cheering in front of the cremation furnace, and people were excitedly chanting Dafa Wang's sacred mantra, with tears streaming down their faces, shouting loudly, "Namo Dafa Wang Guru! Namo Amitabha Buddha! You must take my mother away in the future!" "Namo Dafa Wang Guru! I will definitely practice well with you, Namo Amitabha Buddha, please come and take me!" "The Buddha's teachings are so great! I must achieve great accomplishment!" "Dafa Wang Guru, your Buddha's teachings are so great, you teach one and achieve one, teach two and achieve a pair, we see everyone achieving accomplishment, you are so great!" The funeral ceremony to respectfully send Tang Po Po to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss immediately turned into a vow ceremony, and many people cried and vowed to follow Dafa Wang to practice Buddhism and dedicate merit to their families. Among the Buddhist disciples who witnessed the sacred scene at the cremation site were Shi Xin Zhen, Shi Dao Pin, Shi Xin Lan, Shi Xin En, Shi Guang Jing, Shi Dao Zhi, Shi Ming Xi, Shi Zhi Yuan, Shi Zhi Hua, Shi Zhen Hua, Shi Zhen Lian, Shi Xin Rong, Shi Xin Gan, Shi De Feng, Shi Zhi Feng, Shi De Yu, Shi Zhi Da, Shi De Kun, and so on.

On that evening, a total of 263 fragrant and solid relics were picked out from Tang Po Po's bones and ashes. This is truly another miracle in Buddhist history.

In the vast world, life and death are the most terrifying and frightening for sentient beings, an abyss of fear that ordinary people can never surpass. However, now we have the privilege of seeing with our own eyes that life and death seem to be a piece of cake for devout Buddhist disciples who rely on and follow Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang's practice, because Dafa Wang possesses the true Dharma of the Buddha as it was in the past. Under the throne of Dafa Wang, there is freedom from life and death, ascending to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, one after another, accomplished ones after accomplished ones. The 13th generation ancestor of Mount Emei, the abbot of Kaifa Temple, has freedom from life and death and an indestructible physical body. Wang Lingze, Mrs. Wang Cheng'e, Que Xiangshou, Zhao Xianyun, the holy disciple in the United States, Mrs. Malk, and Tang Xie Le Hui are all disciples of Dafa Wang who have gone to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss with great auspiciousness, completely leaving behind the fear and suffering of samsara. These real and tangible sacred signs that are happening before our eyes make us realize a fact that cannot be doubted: the true Dharma of Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, the true Buddha's teachings, are right here in this world! This is the true Buddha's teachings!

Relics and Relic Flowers#

Relics are sacred objects in Buddhism. Derived from the Sanskrit word Sarira, also translated as Shili, Sheli Luo, Sheli Luo, etc. It can be translated as body, physical body, bone, or remains. After the Nirvana of Shakyamuni Buddha, many hard substances appeared after cremation, which were as hard as diamonds. Buddhists call them relics.

Relics are a type of crystalline substance, as hard as steel, with various forms and colorful colors. The Buddhist scriptures record that after the Buddha's Parinirvana, King Ashoka of the ancient Indian kingdom of Magadha built 84,000 stupas and distributed the relics of Shakyamuni Buddha to be buried in the stupas. For example, the Baoguang Temple in Xindu, Sichuan, is one of the places where the relics of King Ashoka's stupa are located. King Ashoka built nineteen stupas in China. In history, when Huang Chao's rebellion captured Chang'an, Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty fled to Chengdu in a panic. After one or two years, he was depressed because he could not return to the capital. One night, while he was walking in the temple, he suddenly saw a purple light shining from the ruins of an ancient stupa. Emperor Xizong asked in surprise the national teacher Wudadao, who was with him, and Wudadao replied, "This is the light emitted by the relics, it is an auspicious sign; now that Huang Chao's rebellion has been quelled, Your Majesty can return to Chang'an." Emperor Xizong was overjoyed and ordered people to excavate the site. Sure enough, a stone box was found in the soil, and inside the box were thirteen crystal-clear relics, shining brightly. Emperor Xizong then ordered Wudadao to build a thirteen-story stupa and enshrine the relics in the stupa palace, naming it the Pure Light Stupa. The Buddhist temple was also named Baoguang Temple, and this is the historical record of the relics emitting light.
There are several types of relics:

  1. Diamond relics, also known as corporeal relics, are the remains of high monks after their Parinirvana, which are either incorruptible or reduced in size, becoming indestructible diamond relics, known as indestructible ones. For example, the corporeal relics of the Sixth Patriarch Huineng of the Chan School and the Great Master Hanshan are incorruptible, and the corporeal relics of Gongga Rinpoche, who was 6 feet 2 inches 3 points tall, shrank to a corporeal relic of 1 foot 5 inches 3 points, as hard and indestructible as a diamond.
  2. Transformed relics: relics or relic flowers obtained by cremation after achieving enlightenment. Relics are generally found on the bodies of high monks who have achieved enlightenment, and they come in various shapes such as round, diamond-shaped, and unusual shapes. Relic flowers: they come in five colors like a net, with no obstacles, weaving a net like a diamond net, extremely beautiful, like the relic flower that appeared from the skull of Master Xuanzang. Relic flowers are of the highest quality when they are peacock green, field yellow, and white jade.
  3. Dharmakaya relics: all the scriptures, practices, realizations, powers, manifestations of the divine realm, and the display of holy wisdom that have been passed down by all Buddhas are dharmakaya relics.
  4. Lingbone relics: the remains of finger bones, skulls, teeth, etc. that are hard and without the net-like empty flowers after cremation are called lingbone relics.
  5. Seed syllable relics: when practitioners of the Vajrayana achieve the highest level of attainment, they naturally emit light when their bodies are naturally cremated, leaving only the seed syllables they visualized during their regular meditation practice, which are called seed syllable relics, also known as rainbow light flying transformation bodies, such as the rainbow light flying transformation body of Master Lianhua Sheng.

Relics come in many colors, black relics are the hair relics of the Buddha, red relics are blood relics, white relics are bone flower relics, among which there are also peacock green, golden yellow, small yellow, coffee color, gray, purple, white, transparent, mottled, and other colored relics, all formed by different levels of realization. The changes in color and size are all changes formed by different levels of realization. To obtain transformed relics, one must have achieved realization in authentic Buddhism.
Relics are called relics when left by the Buddha, and they are called indestructible ones when left by Bodhisattvas. They are formed by the accumulation of great compassion without any impurities, and are obtained through the attainment of realization and the acquisition of merits. Ordinary people often confuse relic flowers with indestructible ones and also call indestructible ones relic flowers. Relics are not afraid of being soft or hard, they protect sentient beings and sacrifice themselves for the benefit of others. For example, if they are placed on an anvil and struck with a hammer, the relic will penetrate into the anvil and cannot be removed; if they are taken out with a steel drill, no matter how deep the steel drill is drilled, the anvil will be like mud to the relic, no matter how deep it is drilled, the steel drill cannot remove the relic. At this time, as long as an egg is placed on the anvil where the relic is located, and the egg is pressed as if it is about to be crushed, the relic that is in the anvil will immediately jump out on its own, because it is afraid of hurting the egg, this is not deceiving the soft.

Relics have five characteristics: 1. The characteristic of distinguishing merit, the different colors seen by different people due to different karmic merits and virtues; 2. The characteristic of firmness, indestructible like a diamond, harder than any worldly object; 3. The characteristic of brightness, shining when viewed, bringing joy to the mind. When offered, it responds to the power of the mind and emits great light. 4. The characteristic of giving birth, such as the hair relics of Kansa Rinpoche; 5. The characteristic of virtue, can be obtained infinite merit by building stupas for enshrinement, circumambulating, worshiping, lighting lamps, offering flowers, burning incense, repairing, gilding, decorating, etc.

Who can cultivate relics? Only those who have achieved realization in authentic Buddhism can have relics and indestructible ones, and only those who have achieved great accomplishment can have relic flowers. Those who are not in authentic Buddhism cannot have them, and those who have not achieved great accomplishment in authentic Buddhism cannot have relic flowers, indestructible ones, or relic flowers.
