Huazang Temple held the Amitabha Buddha's Birthday Ceremony, with nearly 300 devotees participating in the event.

(Reported) To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Huazang Temple launched a month-long fundraising campaign titled "Joy and Kindness, Boundless Love" starting in November; and on the morning of December 15, it held the Amitabha Buddha's Birthday Ceremony, dedicating merits to pray for community harmony, people's happiness, and world peace. On the day of the ceremony, nearly 300 devotees from both domestic and overseas participated in the event.

Established on December 26, 2004, Huazang Temple is a Buddhist temple that promotes the teachings of the Third Dharmakaya, Dorje Chang Buddha, and the authentic teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha. Upholding the teachings of Dorje Chang Buddha, Huazang Temple has compassionately engaged in various charitable activities over the years, including assisting hospitals with relocations, providing meals for residents in disaster-stricken areas, disaster relief, and charity sales, as well as organizing New Year entertainment activities in nursing homes, donating all raised funds to disadvantaged groups. The temple expressed its hope that this spirit of "Joy and Kindness, Broadly Sowing the Seeds of Goodness, A Family Accumulating Virtue Will Surely Have Abundant Blessings" will inspire the public to do good.

The monks of Huazang Temple and volunteers from the Huazang Temple Dharma Protector Merit Society donated supplies to the Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco.

During the fundraising campaign, Huazang Temple collected a total of 812 items, divided into three main categories: 1. Animal supplies, including dog collars, pet diapers, snacks, beds, pet bags, etc., totaling 241 items; 2. Baby supplies and cookware, including baby onesies, bathing supplies, strollers, air fryers, cookware sets, etc., totaling 211 items; 3. Food items, including white rice, pasta, canned vegetables, etc., totaling 360 items.

On December 11, the monks of Huazang Temple and volunteers from the Huazang Temple Dharma Protector Merit Society delivered the supplies sequentially to the Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, the Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP), and the San Francisco Marin Food Bank. Muttville is the first no-kill animal shelter in the United States and the first nonprofit organization in California dedicated to rescuing senior dogs. The San Francisco Marin Food Bank is a nonprofit organization committed to solving hunger issues in the San Francisco area, providing emergency food services to the community, and offering home delivery services to low-income seniors, families, and individuals with disabilities. HPP is a well-known family support center in the United States, dedicated to helping homeless and low-income families, especially mothers seeking assistance during pregnancy and parenting.

During the 20th anniversary celebration, Abbot Sheng De Ruo Hui presented awards to volunteers for their years of dedication and support.

The 20th anniversary celebration was held on the afternoon of December 15 in the main hall of Huazang Temple, featuring performances including several classic songs of Dorje Chang Buddha, cello performances, Tibetan dances, and a lucky draw, providing a visual and auditory feast for the guests present. Finally, the celebration concluded with a grand chorus, marking a perfect end to the 20th anniversary event.

In the future, Huazang Temple will continue to spread love and care in the community, hoping more people will join in the good deeds to create a warm, loving, and harmonious society.
