The Third Dujieqiang Buddha Cultural Art Museum held a prayer and liberation event on Sunday at the Marina Del Rey Inner Harbor in Los Angeles, with over three hundred people participating.
(Los Angeles News) To celebrate "The Third Dujieqiang Buddha Day" on January 19th, the Third Dujieqiang Buddha Cultural Art Museum held a prayer and liberation event at the Marina Del Rey Inner Harbor in Los Angeles on Sunday. The event specially invited the Vice Chairman of the World Buddhist Headquarters, Shizhengda, to give a speech. More than 300 people from various states in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, and other regions attended the event.
"The Third Dujieqiang Buddha Day" is currently the only Buddha Day officially proclaimed by the government worldwide. It was proclaimed by the Mayor of Washington, D.C., Gray, on January 19, 2011. Mayor Gray recognized the esteemed status of H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha in the Buddhist community and his outstanding achievements in promoting peace, calling on everyone to pay tribute to the Buddha and proclaiming the good news of the Buddha's presence.
In 2007, U.S. Congressman Tom Lantos proposed a tribute to H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha in Congress. In 2010, H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha was awarded the "World Peace Prize," becoming the first Buddhist leader to receive the award. On December 12, 2012, the U.S. Senate Resolution No. 614 officially used the title "His Holiness" for the Third Dujieqiang Buddha. On May 15, 2018, the U.S. government raised the national flag to celebrate the birthday of H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha, and the Washington Post Office issued a limited edition commemorative stamp.
H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha has cultivated a large number of disciples who have achieved liberation and possess great Buddhist wisdom, leaving behind countless sacred Buddhist sites. The Third Dujieqiang Buddha Cultural Art Museum collects many exquisite artworks created by H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha. Among them, "Yun Sculpture" is a new form of sculpture art created by H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha, hailed as a priceless artwork that cannot be replicated in the human world. The treasure of the museum is the first "Yi Shi Heng Jiao" sculpture, which truly achieves unpredictable changes in color, structure, and artistic conception, giving viewers an infinite visual experience.
The Cultural Art Museum is a non-profit organization spontaneously established by a group of people who admire the noble morality of H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha in Covina, Southern California. H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha does not participate in the operation or management of the museum, nor does he own any shares. The museum hopes to let more people understand and learn about the sacred Buddhist teachings of H.H. the Third Dujieqiang Buddha by displaying his achievements in literature, philosophy, art, technology, and other fields.
