"The Washington Post" February 20, 2004: The first Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts in over 200 years to be conferred the title, Master Gi Yun Gao.

Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#

On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yiyun Gao, the Yange Yixi Nobu Dafa King, who had been respected by everyone, was recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects and certified by the living Buddhas. He is the third generation incarnation of the Buddha Dorje Chang, and his Buddha name is the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha." This is similar to how before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha." Therefore, we now say "Namo the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha." Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the legally recognized name, and the previous names of "Yiyun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Dafa King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the announcement of the Buddha name of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should understand that except for the name His Holiness the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the names used before the official naming no longer exist.

The First Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts in over 200 Years, Master Yiyun Gao#

(Report) On February 10, 2004, at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., the Royal Academy of Arts awarded the title of "Fellowship" to the world-renowned master of art, the giant of Chinese painting, and the founder of transcendent natural beauty, Master Yiyun Gao. The certificate and medal were presented on the spot, further confirming the master's outstanding contributions to the world of art.
The Royal Academy of Arts was founded by King George III of England in 1768 and has a history of over 200 years. It is a well-known art institution in the world. Many artists who have worked in the field of art for many years hope to have the opportunity to enter the academy for further study. However, the academy only selects twenty accomplished artists from around the world each year to enter the academy for a three-year course.
Philip King, the President of the Royal Academy of Arts, announced in his speech at the award ceremony: The Royal Academy of Arts has a long history, but today they are honored to confer the title of Fellowship on the great artist and spiritual leader Master Yiyun Gao. This is a very important and honorable event in the over 200-year history of the academy. It is also the first time in over 200 years that the academy has conferred the title of Fellowship. Therefore, Master Yiyun Gao is an outstanding artist that the Royal Academy of Arts has been looking forward to for over 200 years. Today, he finally achieved it. This is a great joy for the Royal Academy of Arts. The academy has 100 academicians, but no one has held the aforementioned Fellowship in over 200 years. Master Yiyun Gao is the first Fellow of the academy, and this prestigious title is conferred on the world's most outstanding and famous artists.
Sir David Manning, the British Ambassador to the United States, met with Master Yiyun Gao and his wife Professor Wang Yuhua, accompanied by Philip King, the President of the Royal Academy of Arts, and Brownen Nanan, the Dean of the academy. He expressed his respect for Master Yiyun Gao's achievements and congratulated him on such an honor. Mr. Andy Mackay, Cultural Attaché of the British Embassy in the United States, attended the award ceremony.
