Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and people only then learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, has been recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects and the great living Buddhas of the world's Buddhism. The third generation of Dorje Chang Buddha, the Buddha's name is the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have been calling him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Siddhartha Gautama, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he changed his name to "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now call him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the legally recognized name by the government. The previous names "Yi Yun Gao" and the titles of Master and Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the announcement of the Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha's Buddha name. At that time, people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. However, everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, the previous names no longer exist.

Following in the footsteps of Master Yi Yun Gao, his disciple Hou Yu Shan has also attained the essence of the Pure Land Dharma and is ascending to the Pure Land. This matter is currently being widely discussed. On August 6th, Liu Hui Xiu, a Buddhist disciple, passed away and ascended to the Pure Land without experiencing the suffering of the Eight Hardships or the dissolution of the Four Elements. What's even more remarkable is that she left immediately after saying so, peacefully departing from this world. It is even more astonishing that she achieved the "high state of the Dharma, Nirvana in flesh" that Buddhist practitioners aspire to, ascending to the Western Pure Land. At that time, colorful auspicious clouds slowly appeared in the sky. Lin Yong Mao, her husband who was by her side, gratefully said that his wife's ability to attain such a special state of Nirvana was all thanks to the Dharma transmission and secret hand seal of their Dharma King, Master Yi Yun Gao, especially the secret seed syllable in the center of the hand seal, which is of great importance.
Liu Hui Xiu passed away in a sitting position with her hands in a mudra at 9:55 am. Even when she was taken to the funeral home, her body remained soft and in a sitting position with her hands in a mudra, her face calm and dignified. Her family specially made a coffin with a sitting posture for her, which amazed everyone.
According to Liu's husband, Lin Yong Mao, they had been searching for the path of cultivation and had visited many masters in Taiwan and internationally, but none of the methods they practiced were effective. It wasn't until three years ago when they found Master Yi Yun Gao and heard about his true Dharma of the Tathagata that they were greatly astonished and finally made up their minds to take refuge under the guidance of the Master. However, at that time, his wife Hui Xiu was suffering from cancer and had sought medical treatment without success. This year, they were fortunate enough to meet the Master and take refuge under his guidance. On July 7th, due to her wife's weakness and inability to travel far, he flew from Seattle to Los Angeles to seek an audience with the Dharma King, Master Yi Yun Gao, on behalf of his wife, requesting the Dharma for liberation and ascension to the Pure Land. Originally, it was not allowed, but fortunately, the compassionate Master saw that his wife could practice the Dharma of ascension, so he made an exception and transmitted the Dharma to him. He was entrusted with transmitting the essence of the Amitabha Dharma and the Nianfo Dharma as well as the secret hand seal of ascension to his wife, and was told that after performing the hand seal, if the seed syllable was included, one should not casually recite "Namo Amitabha Buddha" because when one recites it, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas may appear immediately to receive them, unless one has decided to ascend to the Western Pure Land. After receiving the Dharma, his wife diligently practiced the Dharma four to five times a day despite her terminal illness.
On July 9th, after transmitting the Amitabha Dharma to Lin Yong Mao, Master Yi Yun Gao went to the Bodhi Monastery to give a teaching to the monks there. The Master immediately predicted that a female disciple would soon ascend to the Western Pure Land, and the prediction was recorded on tape. The tape recording has been sent to Buddhist temples and centers around the world to spread the Master's teachings.
On the evening of August 5th, Lin's wife became weak and seemed to be on the verge of death. Lin Yong Mao urgently called Master Yi Yun Gao in Seattle and requested his blessings to help his wife ascend to the Western Pure Land. He asked if he should let his wife sit in a mudra and prepare for ascension. However, the Master on the other end of the phone said, "Let her sleep first. She won't leave today. She will leave tomorrow. She won't leave tonight." Lin Yong Mao worriedly said to the Master, "Master, it's not okay! What if she passes away in her sleep and can't reach the Western Pure Land?" Master Yi Yun Gao said firmly, "Just let her sleep peacefully. She will leave when she wakes up tomorrow. She won't leave tonight!" So Lin's wife listened to the Master's words and lay down to sleep. At three o'clock, she woke up and told her husband that she had just been to the Western Pure Land, which was incredibly beautiful and indescribable. Lin Yong Mao asked his wife, "Who took you to the Western Pure Land?" She replied, "I don't know." He asked again, "How did you get there?" She answered, "I flew there on a mat!" He asked again, "How beautiful is the Western Pure Land?" She replied, "There are mountains and water, it's incredibly beautiful!" She didn't let him ask any more questions and quickly resumed her practice.
At five o'clock in the morning, Lin's wife woke up again and said, "I'm leaving! I'm going to the Western Pure Land!" Then she sat in a lotus position and formed the hand seal of ascension. After about half an hour, Lin Yong Mao saw that his wife had passed away and immediately called Master Yi Yun Gao. He made more than twenty calls in a row but couldn't get through, apparently the Master had turned off his phone. So Lin Yong Mao urgently called KUAN, the Master's attendant, and asked him to convey the news of his wife's passing and urgently request the Master's blessings. Due to the urgency of the situation, KUAN urgently reported to the Master that Sister Liu Hui Xiu had passed away. Unexpectedly, the Master laughed and said, "Nonsense! That's not true! The time for the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to receive her hasn't come yet, so how could she leave!" KUAN thought to himself that Brother Lin Yong Mao saw Sister Liu Hui Xiu by her side and saw that she had stopped breathing and had passed away and ascended, so how could this not be accurate? But the Master who was thousands of miles away said she hadn't left yet. Since he had been by the Master's side almost every day for the past three years, he had full faith in what the Master said. He originally wanted to call Lin Yong Mao and tell him that their sister had not yet passed away, but since he didn't know Lin's phone number, he gave up and went back to sleep!
It wasn't until 7:55 am that day when Venerable Long Hui, the President of the International Buddhist Sangha Association, received a call from Master Yi Yun Gao. The Master said, "The student Liu Hui Xiu in Seattle hasn't passed away yet, but she will pass away soon! Please arrange for some monks to help her with chanting and perform the rituals." At that time, Venerable Long Hui immediately notified the monastic sangha of three temples to take immediate action. As expected, Liu Hui Xiu passed away around 8 o'clock, and she opened her eyes again only at 9:55 am before finally passing away. At that time, colorful auspicious clouds appeared in the sky and slowly dissipated, lasting for over an hour. The monks at the Bodhi Monastery saw the beautiful auspicious clouds in the sky and captured them on camera. It happened to be Liu Hui Xiu's 50th birthday that day.
After Liu Hui Xiu's sitting Nirvana, she maintained her sitting posture, which was extremely auspicious. This news immediately spread in the Buddhist community, and it is no wonder that the American National Buddhist Organization, composed of 34 countries including the United States and Canada, has concluded that Master Yi Yun Gao holds the highest true Dharma. Indeed, his Dharma enables people to attain freedom in life and death. Not only did he allow his disciples to achieve life liberation in a short period of time, but he also made three accurate predictions about Liu Hui Xiu's passing, whether it would be long-term, near-term, or immediate. This demonstrates the profound meaning of true Buddhism and the true nature of the Dharma. The Buddhist community around the world praises the greatness of the Dharma King, the true greatness of the Dharma, and the authenticity of the Dharma. Especially, Lin Yong Mao said that without the true essence of the Dharma of their Guru, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, Liu Hui Xiu's short-term practice would not have had such great merit to ascend to the Western Pure Land! Moreover, she left immediately after saying so, freely transcending life and death. He said that although he was by his wife's side, the Guru who was thousands of miles away knew about his wife's passing, which truly explains the matter. After discussing with their family, they decided to preserve their wife's sitting posture and not cremate her.
