"The Venerable Dzogchen Rinpoche's Parinirvana: The Diamond Body Burned for Six Hours, Relinquishing One Hundred and Forty-One Relics"

Explanation of the "Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" Buddha Name#

On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and people only then knew that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nuobu Dafa Wang, was recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects and the living Buddhas of the world's major Buddhist sects. The third incarnation of the Buddha Dijie Qiang Buddha, the Buddha name is the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha, since then, people have called him "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". This is similar to before the Buddha Shakyamuni became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after the Buddha Shakyamuni became a Buddha, he changed his name to "Namo Buddha Shakyamuni", so now we call him "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha), and since then, the title of Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha is also the legal name recognized by the government, and the previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Dafa Wang no longer exist. However, this news was published before the Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha's Buddha name was announced, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha, so in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha, which is legal, the names before the official naming no longer exist.

The Passing of the Great Dzogchen Rinpoche--#

The Body of the Vajra Burned for Six Hours, Yielding 141 Relics#

(Reported by Cai Jiale, Taipei) The Great Dzogchen Rinpoche was a disciple of the Yang E Yi Xi Nuobu Dafa Wang, who possessed extraordinary supernatural powers and manifested the Dharma. This is recorded in the book "The Holy Monk's Iron Record". He followed the Dafa Wang as his teacher for many years, practicing Buddhism day and night without sleep, without even a bed, only a cushion with him. Losang received the transmission from the Dafa Wang and was deeply grateful, vowing to benefit sentient beings under his guidance. However, this extraordinary Losang displayed his supernatural powers in many places without considering the consequences. Due to the circumstances, karmic obstacles arose, and in April 2001, he was detained by the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau and was unable to continue his studies with his teacher. In July 2003, the court held a trial, but there was no conviction. At that time, he received an invitation from the Luowan Temple in Sichuan, where he had nothing to do all day, wandering in the countryside, often staring into empty space, practicing meditation, without speaking. Unfortunately, his karmic connections with sentient beings had come to an end, and he could no longer teach the Dharma. As early as August 2003, Jang Gongkangqin Rinpoche recorded in his memoir that Losang had clearly stated that he would leave the human realm in August of the following year and asked Jang Gongkangqin Rinpoche to hide and practice the Dharma, and in the future, if there was an opportunity to benefit sentient beings, to transmit the supreme Dharma of the great Dafa Wang to virtuous individuals. Don't forget, the Dafa Wang is the highest Dharma King who possesses the true Dharma of the Buddha in this world! Jang Gongkangqin Rinpoche recorded the entire process, which was read aloud among the monks, nuns, and laypeople in the United States before Losang's passing in the lunar month of June 2004, and was also publicly read in July of the lunar month of 2004 at the foundation. Finally, on the second day of the lunar month of August, when Losang passed away, he left this world.

On the afternoon of the day when Losang was cremated, various extraordinary phenomena appeared, which were very different. The monks and laypeople who were reciting the Buddha's name each had their own special feelings about the situation. Some people murmured in their hearts: this Dharma King was so powerful during his lifetime, but now he doesn't look like an accomplished one at all. His passing is completely different from that of a great accomplished one. Some people said that he was afraid of difficulties and suffering and did not benefit sentient beings, violating the fourteen fundamental precepts of Vajrayana Buddhism. Some people said that he broke the precepts and displayed supernatural powers, which are the great precepts of Buddhism. Some people said that his realization was extraordinary and he truly manifested the great path. Finally, a lay practitioner stood up and confessed publicly: the Great Dzogchen Rinpoche is not an ordinary person. The impermanent appearance he manifested is to teach and enlighten us. We did not generate infinite reverence and instead developed discrimination. He proposed that everyone should take this opportunity to contemplate impermanence, generate infinite reverence, and bid farewell to the old Dharma King. An accomplished one must have the auspicious manifestation of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas. At this moment, many people also confessed publicly. Life is like a dream, impermanence is swift, whether poor or noble, in the end, only a smelly body remains. Everyone generated infinite reverence, recited the Buddha's name, contemplated impermanence, and made vows to pray for the well-being of sentient beings, praying for national prosperity and peace, praying for favorable weather, and praying for world peace. Unexpectedly, at this time, the radiant Buddha field of Mahavairocana quickly manifested and cameras and camcorders were turned on one after another. A lay practitioner took three photos in a row, capturing the radiant sun with a circular emerald green pattern at the center, which was exactly the same as the emerald green on the hem of the Dafa Wang's robe and hat. Seeing this manifestation, everyone was ecstatic and could not describe their joy.

At 4:20 in the afternoon, the fire was lit, and everyone surrounded the burning Losang. Some recited "Namo Amitabha Buddha", some recited the "Heart Sutra", some recited the mantra of the Lotus-born Guru, some recited the mantra of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, and some recited the Mahakala mantra. The fire spiraled like a dragon in the furnace, and the fire chamber burned into a fireball. But at this moment, the majestic image of the old Dharma King Losang suddenly appeared, and the crowd became excited and spontaneously recited the Six-Syllable Great Bright Mantra. The bhikkhu in charge of the cremation, Bhikkhu Jixin, added four carts of firewood to the furnace one after another, saying, "I have never burned so much firewood before." After a fierce fire, it was estimated that he had turned into ashes, but at this time, the head and body of the old Dharma King still appeared, without any signs of burning. The clothes had already burned, but the head and body remained unaffected by the fire. At this moment, the author couldn't help but think of the record of Milarepa not being burned in ordinary fire. Today, it was actually displayed right before our eyes. It is truly worthy of being the Vajra Great Dzogchen Rinpoche. Everyone then understood the profound meaning of the Vajra body not being burned by ordinary fire.

Usually, the entire process of cremation only takes a little over an hour, but the Great Dzogchen Rinpoche burned for a total of six hours, which is extremely rare in the world. After the cremation, 141 relics were found. The manifestation of the indestructible Vajra body during the six-hour cremation and the solid relics obtained completely prove that Losang did indeed learn the true Dharma of the Dafa Wang. Unfortunately, he should not have left the human realm, but should have stayed in this world to propagate the Dharma.
