"Law Religion Times" September 15, 2004: A group of disciples of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama achieved great accomplishments, and the Tang family of Sichuan attained great liberation, with over two hundred relics.

Explanation about the title "His Holiness the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche"#

On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Dzogchen Rinpoche" published by Global Buddhist Publishing House and World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and from then on, people learned that the highly respected Master Yiyun Gao and the great Dharma King Yang Er Yixi Nobu were certified by the leaders or regents of major Buddhist sects around the world as the third incarnation of the primordial Buddha Dorje Chang, with the title of the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche. Henceforth, people began to refer to him as "Namo the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche." This is similar to how before Shakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment, he was known as Prince Siddhartha, but after becoming the Buddha, he was referred to as "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha." Therefore, we now say "Namo the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche." Notably, on December 12, 2012, the U.S. Senate Resolution No. 614 officially conferred the title His Holiness upon the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche (i.e., H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche), thus solidifying the title of Namo the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche. Furthermore, the title of the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche is also a legally recognized name; the previous titles of "Yiyun Gao" and Master, Great Holder of the Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the title of Namo the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche was announced, at a time when people were still unaware of the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, to respect the historical truth, we still retain the name used before the official title of the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche in the news, but everyone should be clear that aside from the name H.H. the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche being legal, the names used before the official designation no longer exist.

Dharma News
September 15, 2004, Wednesday, Comprehensive Report
(Reporter Cai Jiale reports) Tang Xielehui, a disciple of Yang Er Yixi Nobu Great Dharma King from Xinfan, Chengdu, Sichuan, with the Dharma name Shixin Hui, passed away at the age of eighty-four on August 31, 2004, at midnight on the sixteenth day of the seventh lunar month, guided by Amitabha Buddha to the Western Pure Land!

Tang Xielehui, affectionately known as Granny Tang by friends and family, had her entire family practicing under the Great Dharma King for many years. She often told others, "It is the happiest and proudest thing in my life that my children and grandchildren can learn the true Dharma from the Great Dharma King." Granny Tang held immense respect for the Great Dharma King, who showed her compassion and care. Once, when Granny Tang suffered from shoulder periarthritis and could not lift her arm due to unbearable pain, the Great Dharma King comforted her, saying, "It's okay, I'll give you a needle, and you'll be fine." In the middle of winter, the Great Dharma King, through several layers of thick winter clothing, gave her a special needle treatment, and she was healed instantly! Years later, Granny Tang still spoke of this event with mystery and amazement.

One day in June this year, she told her family, "Last night, I saw a very tall and large protector deity, whose face was as big as a door. He told me that in the second half of this year, I will ascend to the Pure Land." The second half she referred to is from the seventh lunar month in the Chinese calendar until December. On August 15, which is the thirtieth day of the sixth lunar month, Granny Tang entered a state of near-death. Her family immediately reported to the Great Dharma King, and under the Great Dharma King's spiritual guidance, that night Granny Tang became very calm and peaceful. Not only was Granny Tang at peace, but the entire house and garden were filled with auspiciousness. The next day, at noon on the first day of the seventh lunar month, several Buddhist disciples who came to chant noticed a cloud of silk-like hada floating across the sky. That evening, the sky over the Chengdu basin, which had been overcast, suddenly opened up to reveal a clear and starry night sky directly above Granny Tang's residence, with stars twinkling like diamonds. That night, Granny Tang achieved enlightenment.

Granny Tang diligently practiced chanting and reciting the Buddha's name according to the Great Dharma King's teachings. She only drank a little glucose water each day, using meditation as her food, dedicating all her time to reciting Amitabha Buddha's name and the Great Dharma King's holy title. After more than twenty days of such effort, her mind was clear, she spoke fluently, and a fragrant aroma emanated from her mouth, astonishing the neighbors.

On August 31, around eleven o'clock at night, Granny Tang's daughter, Tang Yurong, was combing her mother's hair. While combing, Granny Tang suddenly turned to her right side, lying in a auspicious position. Tang Yurong saw her mother suddenly smile, and a warm current filled her head. The smile remained, and the room was filled with brightness and auspiciousness. Granny Tang became motionless. Tang Yurong immediately sought to report to the Great Dharma King, who said, "She has achieved complete enlightenment." When Tang Yurong looked back at her mother, she saw that Granny Tang's complexion had turned slightly red, which is a remarkable sign of being received by Amitabha Buddha! The family and friends present were extremely excited!

On September 6, the afternoon of the twenty-second day of the seventh lunar month, Granny Tang's body was cremated at Baoguang Temple in Xindu, Sichuan. Before the cremation, there was a rain of Dharma nectar blessing. As the cremation began, a holy scene suddenly appeared in the cremation furnace! The crowd chanting the Buddha's name erupted into thunderous applause, accompanied by cries of surprise, tears of joy, laughter, and vows. In the roaring flames, red and blue lights continuously flashed, and from the light emerged fire phoenixes and golden-winged birds, with golden dragons and Vajra protectors standing majestically. Auspicious tigers radiated light, and golden lions spat out blue lotuses, their eyes shining with blue lotuses. The images of Yang Er Yixi Nobu Great Dharma King, the ascetic, and the master appeared one after another, while the Adharma Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, Maitreya Bodhisattva, and Tsongkhapa Master compassionately manifested in blooming lotuses, and the palaces of the Pure Land along with the majestic Mount Sumeru also appeared simultaneously! Beneath Granny Tang's feet and hands appeared double-layered lotus platforms, supporting her in a seated position, with a beaming smile, her whole body radiating blue light, merging into the brilliance of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! The sacred scene of the Buddha's realm continuously manifested, and the cheers in front of the cremation furnace were deafening. People excitedly chanted the Great Dharma King's holy name, tears streaming down their faces as they shouted loudly: "Namo Great Dharma King! Namo Amitabha Buddha! You must take my mother away!" "Namo Great Dharma King! I will definitely practice well with you, Namo Amitabha Buddha, you must come to take me!" "The Dharma is so great! I must achieve great realization!" "Great Dharma King, your Dharma is so magnificent; you teach one to achieve, and two to achieve a pair. We have seen everyone achieve; you are so great!" The farewell ceremony for Granny Tang to the Pure Land turned into a vow ceremony, with many crying and vowing to follow the Great Dharma King in practicing Buddhism and dedicating merits to their families. The disciples who witnessed the sacred scene at the cremation site included: Shixin Zhen, Shidao Pin, Shixin Lan, Shixin En, Shiguang Jing, Shidao Zhi, Shiming Xi, Shizhi Yuan, Shizhi Hua, Shizhen Hua, Shizhen Lian, Shixin Rong, Shixin Gan, Shide Feng, Shide Yu, Shizhi Da, Shide Kun, and many others.

That night, among Granny Tang's bones and ashes, a total of two hundred sixty-three fragrant and solid relics were collected. This is truly another miracle in the history of Buddhism!

In this vast world, life and death are the most terrifying and trembling experiences for countless beings, an abyss of fear that ordinary humans can never overcome. However, now we are fortunate to witness that for the devoted disciples who rely on Yang Er Yixi Nobu Great Dharma King, life and death seem trivial, for the Great Dharma King possesses the true Dharma of the Buddha from back then. Under the Great Dharma King's guidance, many have achieved liberation from life and death, ascending to the Pure Land, one after another. The thirteenth generation patriarch of Emei Mountain, the abbot of Huaihua Temple, has freedom from life and death, and many great disciples of the Great Dharma King, such as Wang Lingze, Wang Cheng'e Fen, Que Xiangshou, Zhao Xianyun, the Holy Call of America, Mrs. Markov, and this time, Tang Xielehui, have all auspiciously ascended to the Pure Land, completely distancing themselves from the fears and sufferings of the cycle of birth and death. These real occurrences before our eyes make us clearly understand an undeniable fact: the true and rightful Dharma of Yang Er Yixi Nobu Great Dharma King is right here in this world! This is the true Dharma!
