Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launching ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao and the Great Dharma King Yang Yi Xi No Bu, who had always been respected by everyone, were recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dorje Chang, with the Buddha name being the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before the Buddha Shakyamuni became a Buddha, his name was Prince Siddhartha, but after Buddha Shakyamuni became a Buddha, he was called "Namo Buddha Shakyamuni". Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the legal name recognized by the government, and the previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Great Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the official announcement of the Buddha name of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha, so in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official title of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the names used before the official announcement no longer exist.

Liu Huixiu, a devout lay Buddhist, passed away peacefully in 2003 (August 13th)
[Report from the United States] Everyone will eventually die, but how one dies is a profound question. On August 6th, the passing of Liu Huixiu, a Buddhist disciple living in Seattle, was astonishing because she passed away peacefully, which is a state that only advanced practitioners in the Buddhist community can achieve.
According to Liu's husband, Lin Yongmao, they converted to Buddhism three years ago. However, at this time, his wife Huixiu was suffering from cancer and had visited famous doctors and tried various medicines, but to no avail. On July 9th, a monk from the Bodhi Monastery predicted that a female disciple would soon pass away and ascend to the Pure Land.
On the evening of August 5th, Lin's wife appeared weak and seemed to be on the verge of death. She slept until three o'clock and woke up to tell her husband that she had just been to the Pure Land, which was indescribably beautiful. Lin Yongmao asked his wife, "Who took you to the Pure Land?" She replied, "I don't know." He asked again, "How did you go there?" She answered, "I flew there on a mat!" He asked again, "How beautiful is the Pure Land?" She replied, "There are mountains and water, it's indescribably beautiful!" She didn't let him ask any more questions and quickly resumed her meditation.
At five o'clock in the morning, Lin's wife woke up again and said, "I'm leaving! I'm going to the Western Pure Land!" Then she sat in the lotus position and formed the hand seal of ascending. After about half an hour, Lin Yongmao saw that his wife had passed away and entered the intermediate state. He hurriedly called his teacher, but unexpectedly, the teacher laughed and said through a disciple, "Nonsense! That's not true! The time for the Buddha and Bodhisattvas to receive her has not yet come, how could she leave!"
Sure enough, Liu Huixiu, who had entered the intermediate state after eight o'clock, returned to the human realm with her eyes open and did not pass away until 9:55. At that time, a colorful auspicious cloud appeared in the sky and disappeared auspiciously towards the Western Pure Land. It lasted for more than an hour before dissipating. The monks at the Bodhi Monastery saw the beautiful auspicious cloud in the sky at that time and captured it with a camera. This day happened to be Liu Huixiu's fiftieth birthday. After discussing with their family, they decided to preserve her body in a sitting position and not cremate it.
