"ETtoday News" January 29, 2002: World News - Miraculous Phenomenon of No Rain Under the Bright Sun, Kapok Tree's Fragrant Rain Can Understand Instructions

Explanation of the "Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" Buddha Name#

On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Dijie Qiang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nuobu Dafa Wang, was recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dijie Qiang Buddha, with the Buddha name being the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Siddhartha Gautama, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Dijie Qiang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha is also the legally recognized name by the government, and the previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the titles of Master and Dafa Wang no longer exist. However, this news was published before the official announcement of the Buddha name of the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Dijie Qiang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Dijie Qiang Buddha, the previous names no longer exist.

World News-----Miraculous Phenomenon: Bright Sun but No Rain, Cotton Tree Produces Fragrant Rain#

January 29, 2002 00:00

Reporter Su Jingrong / On-site Witness Report

In a certain place in the United States, a cotton tree was found. It rained several times. On the first day, it rained continuously from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., lasting for twelve hours. There were many onlookers. The weather was sunny that day. It had not rained for more than twenty days before that, so the branches were dry before it rained. However, strangely, although the branches were dense, the rain did not fall on the branches. Moreover, the raindrops were fragrant and shaped like pine needles, falling diagonally. This can be called a world miracle.

This unusual rain fell from the densely packed branches of the cotton tree, which was about one yard wide, without a single leaf. The trees next to the cotton tree, whether they had leaves or dead branches, did not have a single drop of water. The most amazing thing was that all the falling raindrops were very dense, but not a single drop fell on the trunk of the cotton tree, nor did a single drop fall from the branches of the cotton tree. Instead, they suddenly appeared between the branches and flowers of the cotton tree, flashing with white light and emitting a fragrant scent. The people present looked up at the falling raindrops. Some held the raindrops in their mouths, some used them to wipe wounds, and some applied them to their heads. They all said in unison, "It smells so good!" In a short while, everyone's clothes were soaked by the rain. Among the onlookers were famous living Buddhas, famous masters, monks, and ordinary people.

According to the living Buddha who witnessed this extraordinary rain, the cotton tree is located in the main temple where the leaders of the Buddhist world live, including the most famous female spiritual leader and several great Rinpoche and masters. On that day, a famous master and the female spiritual leader led the living Buddha and the monks to inspect the skillful craftsmanship on the broad lawn of the main temple. A disciple brought a rattan chair and placed it under the cotton tree, and the master meditated on the chair. While inspecting the skillful craftsmanship, the living Buddha suddenly saw auspicious clouds covering the cotton tree in the sky. Everyone was shocked and immediately rushed to the cotton tree. They found the master meditating and at the same time, they found that raindrops were falling densely between the intertwined branches of the cotton tree. At that time, the area outside the tree was sunny and clear, without a single raindrop.

The monks said that this was a manifestation of a miracle and quickly took out cameras to take pictures! After a moment, the camera was brought, and the master stood up from his seat and said, "This is nectar, it will stop." As soon as he finished speaking, the rain stopped. Then he said, "The nectar will continue to fall until 8 p.m." As soon as he finished speaking, the rain started to fall from above the cotton tree. The master said, "Do you want to see other trees also produce nectar?" The crowd moved about twenty meters away to a maple tree that had already lost all its leaves, and the fragrant rain immediately fell from this tree.

At this moment, the female spiritual leader exclaimed, "Disciples! The master sat under this tree for a while and the nectar fell. You can imagine how great the master's virtue is!" The master said, "What ability and virtue do I have? This place is the residence of the female spiritual leader, so it has such great merit. Why is there no other place in the world where nectar falls!"

On that day, the monks and living Buddhas stayed under the cotton tree from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., until the end of the nectar falling. At this time, the master and the female spiritual leader announced that they would hold another ceremony at 8 a.m. the next day for observation, and there would be a continuation of the nectar falling phenomenon.

I personally went to observe the ceremony the next day with a group of laypeople and monks, and it was indeed as described before, incredibly miraculous. I stood under the tree and looked up, with nectar water on my face, body, and in my mouth. It was truly fragrant, not comparable to ordinary perfume. In the case of continuous nectar falling under the clear sky, I and the others touched the trunk, branches, and flower buds of the tree, and they were all dry. Two visitors, one from Taiwan and one from the United States, had different opinions on this situation. They climbed to the top of the trunk to investigate in detail and found that the branches were dry and there were no insects. The raindrops appeared out of nowhere in the space between the branches, either spraying or sprinkling, and bypassed the dry branches. They could not explain how this phenomenon occurred.

What's even more miraculous is that when I was about to take out my camera to capture this historic moment, a monk said, "You don't need to take a camera, it can't capture it!" I stood in the position of a media worker and did not give up the opportunity to capture this historic moment. But as the monk said, the camera shutter couldn't be pressed. I changed to a new battery, but it still didn't work. At this time, a monk said, quickly take it to the female spiritual leader or the great saint to bless it, the footage we took yesterday was only able to be captured after being blessed by them. At this time, a Miss Xu said, "My camera has already been blessed, you can use it!" It was really strange. The camera worked in my hands and I was able to take photos.
The camera captured the scene of the nectar water falling through the branches and recorded the scenes of the master and the female spiritual leader giving teachings to the living Buddhas, great masters, monks, and laypeople under the tree and on the grass.

The female spiritual leader and the master are extremely humble and do not want their Dharma names to be publicized. Of course, they do not want their private residence to become a tourist attraction that hinders their practice. When they call for rain, it rains; when they call for it to stop, it stops. They demonstrate such great supernatural powers. However, this master of great virtue is extremely humble and says, "I have very poor cultivation in my life. What qualifications do I have to become famous in the world?"

The next day, the sun was still shining. In order to compare the difference between ordinary rain and the aforementioned miraculous nectar falling, reporters, laypeople, and monks went to the cotton tree again. They found that the branches were still dry. In front of the crowd, someone took a lotus canopy and sprayed water on the tree for a while. As a result, the water only started dripping when it was sprayed. The cotton tree, which had no leaves but only flower buds, began to drip. The water dripped completely in less than twelve minutes. How could it drip continuously for more than ten hours? The trunk and branches of the tree were wet, and some water droplets hung on the branches and did not fall. When tapped with a pole, some water droplets fell off, while others remained. This phenomenon shows that if the fragrant rain was sprayed with water, it would dry up in less than ten minutes, and the branches and trunk would be wet. How could it drip continuously for more than ten hours without any moisture?

What's more, when comparing the shape of the water droplets with the nectar water on the recorded video, they are completely different. Water droplets are larger at the top and smaller at the bottom, while nectar water is shaped like pine needles, with a similar thickness at both ends, and it emits light. From the recorded video, it can be seen that the direction of the nectar water falling is not completely vertical. It even falls diagonally, as if it automatically avoids the branches and falls down. It is no wonder that after more than ten hours of nectar falling, the branches and trunk of the cotton tree did not have any moisture. This phenomenon completely contradicts scientific common sense and can only be described as a world wonder, a historical miracle!
