Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddhist Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launch ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and people then learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, who has been respected by everyone, has been certified by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dorje Chang, with the Buddhist name of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Siddhartha Gautama, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the legal name recognized by the government. The previous names "Yi Yun Gao" and the honorable titles of Master and Dafa Wang no longer exist. However, this news was published before the Buddhist name of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha was announced. At that time, people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha, so in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the previous names no longer exist.
Master Yi Yun Gao Transmits the Amitabha Dharma, Liu Hui Xiu Attains Liberation in Body and Soul#
Following the disciple of Master Yi Yun Gao, Professor Hou Yu Shan, who has attained the essence of the Pure Land Dharma and ascended to the Pure Land, this matter is currently being widely discussed. On August 6th, Buddhist disciple Liu Hui Xiu passed away and ascended to the Pure Land, without experiencing the suffering of the eight difficulties or the dissolution of the four elements. What's even more remarkable is that she left immediately after saying goodbye, peacefully departing from this world. It is even more astonishing that she achieved the "high level realm of attaining liberation in body and soul" that Buddhist practitioners aspire to, ascending to the Western Pure Land. At that time, colorful auspicious clouds slowly appeared in the sky, moving westward. Her husband Lin Yong Mao, who was by her side, gratefully said that his wife's ability to attain liberation in body and soul was all thanks to the Dharma transmission and secret hand seals of their Dharma King, Master Yi Yun Gao, especially the secret seed syllable in the center of the hand seal, which is of great importance.
Liu Hui Xiu passed away in a sitting position with her hands in the mudra of meditation at 9:55 am on August 6th. Even when she was taken to the funeral home, her body remained soft and she maintained her sitting position with her hands in the mudra, her face calm and dignified. Her family specially made a coffin that matched her sitting posture, which amazed everyone.
According to Liu's husband, Lin Yong Mao, they had been searching for the path of cultivation and had visited many masters in Taiwan and internationally, but none of the methods they learned were effective. It wasn't until three years ago when they found Master Yi Yun Gao and learned about his true Dharma of the Tathagata that they were greatly astonished and finally made up their minds to take refuge under the guidance of the Master. However, at that time, his wife Hui Xiu was suffering from cancer and had tried various medical treatments without success. This year, they were fortunate enough to meet the Master and take refuge under his guidance. On July 7th, due to her wife's weakness and inability to travel far, he flew from Seattle to Los Angeles to seek an audience with the Dharma King, Master Yi Yun Gao, on behalf of his wife, to request the Dharma and seek liberation and ascension to the Pure Land. Originally, it was not allowed, but fortunately, the compassionate Master granted permission for her to practice the Dharma of ascension. As the Master was busy and unable to go north, he made an exception and transmitted the Dharma to Lin Yong Mao. He transmitted the essential teachings of the Amitabha Dharma and the secret hand seals of ascension to the Pure Land to him, and informed him that after performing the hand seal, if the seed syllable was included, one should not casually recite "Namo Amitabha Buddha" because when one recites it, the Buddha or Bodhisattva may appear immediately to receive them, unless one has decided to ascend to the Western Pure Land. After receiving the Dharma, his wife diligently practiced the Dharma four or five times a day, even with her terminal cancer.
On July 9th, after transmitting the Amitabha Dharma to Lin Yong Mao, Master Yi Yun Gao went to the Bodhi Monastery to give a teaching to the monks there. The Master immediately predicted that a female disciple would soon attain liberation in body and soul and ascend to the Western Pure Land. The prediction was recorded at that time, and the recording has been sent to Buddhist temples and centers around the world to be heard.
On the evening of August 5th, Lin's wife became weak and seemed to be on the verge of death. Lin Yong Mao urgently called Master Yi Yun Gao in Seattle and requested his blessings to help his wife attain liberation and ascend to the Western Pure Land. He asked if he should allow his wife to sit in meditation and prepare for ascension. However, the Master said on the phone, "Let her sleep first. She won't leave today. She will leave tomorrow. She won't leave tonight." Lin Yong Mao worriedly said to the Master, "No, Master! What if she passes away in her sleep and cannot reach the Western Pure Land?" With a firm tone, Master Yi Yun Gao said, "Just let her sleep peacefully. She will leave when she wakes up tomorrow. She won't leave tonight!" So Lin's wife listened to the Master's words and lay down to sleep. At three o'clock, she woke up and told her husband that she had just been to the Western Pure Land, which was incredibly beautiful and indescribable. Lin Yong Mao asked his wife, "Who took you to the Western Pure Land?" She replied, "I don't know." He asked again, "How did you go there?" She answered, "I flew there on a carpet!" He asked again, "How beautiful is the Western Pure Land?" She replied, "There are mountains and water, it's incredibly beautiful!" She didn't let him ask any more questions and quickly resumed her practice.
At five o'clock in the morning, Lin's wife woke up again and said, "I'm leaving! I'm going to the Western Pure Land!" Then she sat in the meditation posture of ascension. After about half an hour, Lin Yong Mao saw that his wife had passed away and her breath had ceased. He immediately called Master Yi Yun Gao, but he couldn't get through after making more than twenty calls. It was clear that the Master had turned off his phone. So Lin Yong Mao urgently called the Master's attendant, KUAN, and asked him to convey the news of his wife's passing and request urgent blessings from the Master. Due to the urgency of the situation, KUAN urgently reported to the Master that Sister Liu Hui Xiu had passed away. Unexpectedly, the Master laughed and said, "Nonsense! That's not true! The time for the Buddha and Bodhisattvas to receive her hasn't come yet, so how could she leave!" KUAN thought to himself that Brother Lin Yong Mao saw Sister Hui Xiu by her side and witnessed her breath and life passing away, ascending to the Pure Land. Isn't that accurate? But the Master, who was thousands of miles away, said she hadn't left yet. Since he had been with the Master almost every day for the past three years, he had full faith in what the Master said. He wanted to call Lin Yong Mao and tell him that their sister had not yet attained liberation, but he didn't know Lin's phone number, so he gave up and went back to sleep!
It wasn't until 7:55 am that day when Venerable Long Hui, the President of the International Buddhist Sangha Association, received a call from Master Yi Yun Gao. The Master said, "The student Liu Hui Xiu in Seattle has not yet attained liberation, but she will soon! Please arrange for some monks to help her with chanting and perform the rituals." At that time, Venerable Long Hui immediately notified the monastic sangha of three temples to take immediate action. As expected, Liu Hui Xiu passed away and ascended to the Pure Land after 9:55 am. At that time, colorful auspicious clouds appeared in the sky, gradually dissipating towards the Western direction. The clouds lasted for over an hour before dispersing. The monks at the Bodhi Monastery saw the beautiful auspicious clouds in the sky and captured them on camera. It happened to be Liu Hui Xiu's fiftieth birthday.
After Liu Hui Xiu's sitting posture of ascension, her body remained in that position, which was extremely auspicious. This news immediately spread in the Buddhist community. No wonder the American National Buddhist Organization, composed of 34 countries including the United States and Canada, has concluded that Master Yi Yun Gao holds the highest true Dharma. Indeed, his Dharma enables people to attain liberation in life and death. Not only did he allow his disciples to attain liberation in a short period of time, but he also made three accurate predictions about the state of Liu Hui Xiu's liberation and ascension, demonstrating the profound meaning of true Buddhism. The world's Buddhist community praises the greatness of the Dharma King, who is truly the Dharma King. The greatness of the realization of the Buddha Dharma and the truth of the Buddha Dharma are not empty. Especially, Lin Yong Mao said that without the true essence of the Dharma of the Pure Land transmitted by the Master, Liu Hui Xiu's short period of practice would not have achieved such great merit to ascend to the Western Pure Land! Moreover, she left immediately after saying goodbye, achieving liberation in body and soul. He said that although he was by his wife's side, the Master, who was thousands of miles away, knew about his wife's liberation. This truly explains the situation. After discussing with their family, they decided to preserve their wife's sitting posture and not cremate her.
