Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launching ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao, Yang Yi Yixi Nuo Bu Dafawang, who had always been respected by everyone, was certified by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world as the third incarnation of the Buddha Dorje Chang, with the Buddha name being the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have referred to him as "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Siddhartha Gautama, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now say "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". In particular, on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). Since then, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha has been officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the name recognized by the government. The previous names of "Yi Yun Gao" and the titles of Master and Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the announcement of the Buddha name of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, and at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official naming of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the names used before the official naming no longer exist.

Reporter Yang Zhijun / Los Angeles Report
Reporter Montebello Report> Born in Sichuan, known as the great virtue of the East, the world-renowned international master Yi Yun Gao, completed and created the sculpture art "Mysterious Mist in Stone" and "Pebble Hanging Veil" using the unique "Rhyme Carving" technique in the United States. The works were exhibited in Montebello, which has the highest proportion of Chinese people, on the 25th. According to the view of the local artists, Master Yi's sculptures not only created the highest artistic achievement in the history of sculpture masters, but also surpassed the artistic level of all his previous works.
The recently completed "Mysterious Mist in Stone" by Master Yi Yun Gao is made of artificial steel resin, which has the texture of real stone on the surface. Although the stone is not large, when looking into the cave, it appears to be distant and the layers inside the cave are magnificent and magical, with some areas covered by mist, which looks like a thin veil, creating a hazy and ethereal atmosphere. The "Pebble Hanging Veil" contains various colors and exudes a spiritual and beautiful aura, with ever-changing and mysterious qualities. It can be described as "the artistic creation of the Buddha's axe surpasses the divine work, and the heavenly work is elegant and extraordinary." This exhibition, organized by the Master Yi Yun Gao International Cultural Foundation, showcased three works: "Mysterious Mist in Stone," "Middle Heaven Arhat Cave," and "Pebble Hanging Veil," as well as photographs of "Gao Shi Tu," "Tian Zi Shi," and "Wu Hu Shi."
Mayor Liu Daqiang of Montebello presented a certificate of commendation to the Yi Yun Gao International Cultural Foundation, which organized this sculpture exhibition, and in his speech and interview with reporters, he said: Master Yi Yun Gao's artistic expression is very special and unique. The Buddha's axe is extraordinary, and people who don't know would think it is naturally formed. He has never seen such good works of art before. Seeing such a high level of artistic expression, Mayor Liu praised Master Yi as the pride of the Chinese people, the descendant of the dragon, and the glory of the foreign land. He expressed the highest respect for the achievements of the Chinese people in the United States. He said that Master Yi's works opened his eyes. Such outstanding works are truly rare in the world, and the author must be an extraordinary genius. No wonder one of Master Yi's works can sell for millions of dollars.
Former Mayor of Montebello and current City Councilor Alonzo presented a certificate of commendation on behalf of State Senator Zhao Meixin. Alonzo praised Master Yi's works as unique and very special.
Among the participants in this exhibition were people from all over the world, including Donna Warren and Mark Gonzaga, members of the Los Angeles College Board who were seeking support. Donna Warren, after viewing the works, said in her speech: She has traveled to many scenic spots around the world and she believes that Master Yi's works are more beautiful than the naturally formed Blue Grotto in Lebanon or the natural rocks in Hawaii. Master Yi has opened up new realms and territories for art, which deeply moved her.
People from all over the world came to visit the exhibition, including high-ranking monks such as the Living Buddha Xirao Gengdeng, the Rinpoche Hengxing Jiacao, the Rinpoche Bodewindu, and the Rinpoche Gongla, as well as many artists and collectors.
A collector surnamed Guan who visited the exhibition said that Master Yi's artistic realm has surpassed the exquisite works created by famous artists throughout history, bringing a beautiful enjoyment to human cultural life. However, the art under the master's knife is beyond the reach of previous artists, because the achievements of artists in history cannot surpass the energy and realm of natural art. The magical stone carvings created by nature, such as stubborn rocks, caves, stalactites, cliffs, waterfalls, and the magical stone artifacts created by natural formations, cannot be compared to the beauty of Master Yi's sculptures. Not only does his work surpass the natural artistic structure in terms of naturalness, but it also far surpasses the beauty of natural mountains and rocks in terms of form and layout. In the history of human culture and art, there has never been such an art creation that can surpass nature.
Dr. Douglas Menrick, the director of the Presidential Library and Museum, praised Master Yi's works after visiting his sculptures, saying: Master's works are so magical, it is unimaginable that such wonderful works can be carved by hand. Works such as "Hanging Veil on Shell Cliff," "Fantastic Cave," and "Middle Heaven Arhat Cave" far surpass the formations created by nature. Especially the "Mysterious Mist in Stone," although small in size, changes in a thousand ways under the light, with a mysterious and unpredictable beauty that is beyond words. He said that the craftsmanship can carve solid objects, but how can it carve gas? However, everyone can see the layers of the mist and the misty fog in the "Mysterious Mist in Stone" vividly, which is undeniable but inexplicable. It can only be said that Master Yi's artistic realm has reached the level of "divine work surpassing natural creation, incomparable mystery". He said that Master Yun Gao completed these works in the United States, creating a glorious chapter in the world's human culture.
According to descriptions from Master Yi Yun Gao's assistant, when Master Yi created these rare treasures, he worked tirelessly for more than ten hours without stopping, often not having lunch until the evening. He always said that life is like a dream, and there is nothing worth clinging to in terms of gains and losses. As an internationally renowned master, Master Yi Yun Gao's motivation for creation is always focused on constantly surpassing the artistic realm. Whether it is the materials used in the creation or the materials used in the creation, they are all seeking innovation and breakthroughs. When carving, the use of steel resin is a breakthrough in materials, and the choice of materials surpasses the natural formations, creating art that cannot be replicated. The carving of unprecedented mist is the concrete result of Master Yi's continuous self-challenge and self-transcendence. It is because of this that the master has become the only creator of the world's rhyme carving art, writing a brilliant new chapter in the history of art.
Vice President Tian Boyuan of the Yi Yun Gao International Cultural Foundation believes that Master Yi's many astonishing achievements are derived from his profound and extensive knowledge, noble and pure ethical morals, and the great contributions he has made to humanity in the realm of selflessness and enlightenment!
