Explanation of the "Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" Buddha Name#
On April 3, 2008, the book "The Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha" published by the Global Buddhist Publishing House and the World Dharma Sound Publishing House held a solemn and grand launching ceremony at the Library of Congress in the United States. The Library of Congress officially collected this book, and it was then that people learned that the highly respected Master Yi Yun Gao and Yang E Yi Xi Nu Bu Dafa Wang, who had been respected by everyone, were recognized by the leaders or regents of the major Buddhist sects in the world and certified by the living Buddhas. He is the third incarnation of the Dorje Chang Buddha, the Buddha name being the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha. Since then, people have been calling him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". This is similar to before Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, his name was Siddhartha Gautama, but after Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha, he was called "Namo Shakyamuni Buddha". Therefore, we now call him "Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha". Especially on December 12, 2012, the United States Senate Resolution No. 614 officially named the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha as His Holiness (H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha). From then on, the title of Namo Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha was officially established. Moreover, the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha is also the name recognized by the government, and the previous titles of "Yi Yun Gao" and Master, Supreme Dharma King no longer exist. However, this news was published before the official announcement of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha's Buddha name, at that time people did not yet know the true identity of the Buddha. Therefore, in order to respect the truth of history, we still retain the names used before the official title of the Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha in the news. But everyone should be clear that except for the name of H.H. Third Generation Dorje Chang Buddha, which is legal, the previous names no longer exist.

Zhen Cang Art Auction Company auctioned the works of the well-known Chinese painter Yi Yun Gao from mainland China, setting a record price of 72 million New Taiwan Dollars, which has attracted high attention in the art world. However, some industry insiders subsequently claimed that this is "religious art," which is why the price is high. But disciples in Taiwan pointed out that critics' mentality of worshiping foreign things is worth questioning.
After setting the highest auction price for a living painter's traditional Chinese painting, there were media reports that Yi Yun Gao's paintings cannot be compared with Lang Shining's Chinese paintings with a Western flavor, and some people claimed that Chinese paintings made by Westerners can sell for high prices.
Disciples in Taiwan pointed out that such remarks are pathetic. Purely in terms of painting, Chinese painting is not inferior to Western painting. On the contrary, due to the 5,000 years of history and culture it contains, Chinese painting is far more expressive and profound than Western painting, so the collection value of Chinese painting is higher than that of Western painting.
One disciple pointed out that it is only because Western economic development has been faster in modern times that the current prices of Chinese and Western paintings have been greatly distorted and extremely unreasonable. Now, it is not easy to have Chinese painters with outstanding performances, but they are criticized by some people who question how Chinese painting can surpass Western painting.
He asked back, why can't Chinese painting surpass Western painting? Is it because of the mentality of worshiping foreign things among the Chinese people? He also pointed out that Yi Yun Gao's collection of calligraphy and painting encompasses various schools and techniques, integrating his own style, and has published the "Master Yi Yun Gao's Collection of Paintings" and various other works, which have been highly praised in mainland China and the United States.
Professor Gu Rui Zhao of the National Defense Medical College, who has conducted in-depth research on Yi Yun Gao's paintings, also pointed out that Yi Yun Gao's paintings are thought-provoking and require careful consideration. Only by improving our literary and philosophical foundation can we deeply understand the connotation and essence of his paintings.
Yi Yun Gao has served as the president of the Chinese Painting Research Association of the Chinese Academy of Education and Culture. Other important members of the association include: Xie Zhiliu, Zhou Yingnan, Wu Zhangshu, Qian Juntang, Liang Shuming, Wan Laiming, and Zang Kejia, etc., who are all art masters.
