You are partially correct. Indeed, you want to receive the secret initiation. Firstly, the great holy master must be pleased to bestow the initiation upon you. However, this is only the first step. If the great holy master does not agree, there is no hope. No matter what merits one has established, as long as there is doubt, lack of faith, breaking away from the teachings, or surpassing the sect in regards to the initiation of the Buddha and Bodhisattva levels, it is a corrupt and fundamental heart. The World Honored One said in the Vajra Praise, "Break away from doubt, have faith, abandon appearances, and surpass the sect." This has already explained that "doubt" is the root of destroying good roots. If you are not sincere and speak false words, even if you intentionally tell a lie to the initiator of the secret initiation, you commit the "fundamental precept of speaking recklessly." Then, you will not be able to receive the initiation. Moreover, for disciples who have received the initiation of the secret initiation or the initiation of the realm, as long as they intentionally speak a false word to the initiator of the secret initiation, the true self will be distant, and the initiated initiation will be damaged, and the power of the Dharma will decline. For those who have committed such offenses, they must immediately repent thoroughly and never commit them again. They must be absolutely loyal. If one receives the "initiation of the true self and the Dharma affinity," the true self will absolutely not come to receive disciples who speak false words. It must be understood that the secret initiation must pass through two major stages. The fact that the initiator is pleased to bestow the initiation upon you is only passing the first stage. It must also pass through the decisive second stage. However, the decisive stage is not determined by the initiator. But if you have intentionally spoken false words to the initiator, the decisive stage governed by the true self will never pass. Therefore, the secret initiation cannot be achieved because the true self does not approve.
