Many people are preparing to come to the United States this June to celebrate the birth of the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche. Regarding this matter, the Office of the Third Dzogchen Rinpoche would like to issue this announcement. The Buddha said, "Today, I mainly want to talk about my birthday. When it comes to this matter, I feel very ashamed. How can I deserve everyone's long journey to pay their respects? I hope that this year you will not come, but instead release animals in your local area and help the elderly, the needy, and those in need of assistance. As long as you are happy, that is the true celebration of my birthday! Moreover, I may be traveling abroad in June, so you will be coming all this way for nothing. How can I repay everyone? Especially those who come from abroad, especially the elderly who not only have advanced age but also poor health and financial pressure. It is not easy for them to come, and if I am not here, what should they do? As for your practice and study of Buddhism, please follow the "Great Liberation Mudra" and the "Supreme Bodhi Space Practice" as posted online, and implement the teachings in these texts. Study and apply the book "Learning Buddhism" thoroughly, and you will definitely mature in your spiritual journey. I will bestow blessings and transmit the Dharma to you without requiring any offerings from you, but I ask that you benefit society, benefit the public, and show compassion to all beings. Refrain from doing any evil and engage in virtuous actions."
