The announcement (No. 20190101) issued by the World Buddhist Headquarters on January 14, 2019, has already made it clear about the fundamental nature of the following questions for Buddhists. However, some people still come to consult, so I will answer the questions briefly. First of all, please note that in many Buddhist knowledge theories, the terms "ultimate truth" and "conventional truth" are mentioned. These terms belong to a category of knowledge decomposition, and they are not the concepts of "ultimate truth" and "conventional truth" that we have listed. The listed "ultimate truth" and "conventional truth" refer to the sacred and the mundane, the different nature of direct liberation and diligent practice.
-
The referred deity is not any holy guru, but the Buddha and Bodhisattva in the void.
-
Any practice or ritual of any kind, after being selected and approved by the Buddha and Bodhisattva, is considered as a sacred and righteous practice or ritual. If even one word is changed in the sacred and righteous practice or ritual, the deity will consider it as mundane contamination!!! It will immediately become a conventional ritual, and the deity will not bless it.
-
The oral transmission of inner secret empowerment is recognized by the guru, but not by the deity.
-
The true inner secret empowerment is recognized by the deity, but it is not the deity's transmission.
-
The ultimate truth inner secret empowerment is when the deity personally receives the disciple's offering and takes it away. This is the deity's transmission.
-
What is the ultimate truth inner secret empowerment? During the empowerment ceremony, the deity personally comes to the scene, and you personally offer the necessary items to the deity. Only then will the deity recognize you as a disciple. This ensures your accomplishment in the Buddha Dharma and is the only transmission from the deity.
-
What is conventional Buddhist practice? Buddhist practices that have not been selected and approved by the deity are considered conventional Buddhist practices, mainly in the realm of theoretical knowledge. Conventional Buddhist practices include heart seal transmission that is praised and elevated, light transmission, oral transmission, ear transmission, Kagyu or Dharma transmission, whether it is from Southern or Northern Tibet, or Taoist empowerment, treasure vase empowerment, secret empowerment, wisdom empowerment, flower garland empowerment, Atisha empowerment, Five Buddha empowerment, etc. The deity will not personally come to receive and transmit these, because they are all theoretical and oral transmission. However, a great saint who has realized the vast treasury of the teachings can transmit them as the deity's transmission.
-
Conventional Buddhist practices must rely on one's own study of the teachings and theories, combined with diligent practice, to invoke the deity. There is no 100% guarantee of accomplishment, unless it is a practice transmitted by the Buddha and Bodhisattva, which has a higher chance of accomplishment. However, it is still not as good as the true inner secret empowerment recognized by the deity, and even more so, not as good as the ultimate truth inner secret empowerment transmitted by the deity. The deity's transmission is the highest quality sacred cause and karmic connection, encompassing many different levels of teachings.
