The headquarters has conducted written and oral examinations to help Buddhist practitioners around the world distinguish the level of their teachers. This achievement has made a significant milestone in Buddhist history. The third generation of the Dharma King, Dorje Chang Buddha III, said, "The teachers identified by the headquarters may not necessarily be accomplished practitioners in essence. The goodness or badness, right or wrong of a teacher should be considered based on comprehensive virtues, scriptures, and cultivation. Even virtuous individuals may have biased or wrong views. If they do not correct themselves, they are demonic beings. If they immediately correct their mistakes, it shows that they are still cultivating. In short, do good and avoid evil, that is what matters."
Indeed, there are people who claim to have achieved a certain level but actually haven't, and there are some teachers who have obtained the blue button level but refuse to wear the corresponding attire. These people have exposed their strong worldly nature and lack of virtue and wisdom. They are not true teachers. They are afraid of being looked down upon by their disciples. In fact, they are nothing but fraudulent and evil teachers.
Why do teachers who have achieved high levels have fraudulent and evil teachers among them? Isn't this contradictory? It is not contradictory at all. This is due to the regulations of the holy examination. The holy examination only applies to the reincarnation of holy beings and those with holy qualities and cultivation. Most people dare not apply for the examination, and even those who enter the examination room see the miserable situation of the previous candidates and immediately apply to withdraw, claiming that their cultivation is not enough. On the other hand, the Eight Winds Examination is different. It allows individuals to apply based on their specific talents, just like how a swimming champion may not have the skills of a shooting champion or a weightlifting champion. Each champion has their own specific talents. The Eight Winds Examination is the same, it is not all-encompassing.
From the ritual textbooks that some famous teachers who have achieved certain levels provide to their disciples, it is evident that these teachers follow the Buddhist lineage of Sakyamuni Buddha and H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. However, secretly, they go against the teachings and misinterpret the scriptures. They create false rituals that lack the blessings of the lineage, and they make their disciples study these rituals to control them. Some teachers realize their mistakes and repent, and the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will forgive them. However, some continue to deceive and manipulate. These teachers are undoubtedly evil. Because the disciples are laypeople, they only look at the surface, the status, and the reputation of the teachers. They believe they have encountered great Bodhisattvas, but they do not know that these teachers are not even at the level of an initial fruit Arhat, yet they claim to be venerable. Those who are loyal to these fraudulent teachers have already been deceived. But why do these fraudulent teachers achieve certain levels? It is because when they entered the holy examination, they used their specific talents and merits, not their evil and deceptive words, to enter. Therefore, in terms of specific talents and merits, they will naturally achieve a certain level. If a teacher has accumulated great merits, possesses correct knowledge and views, and practices according to the correct Dharma, then they are an excellent teacher.
It is important to note that the level achieved has nothing to do with evil or fraudulent behavior. Therefore, practitioners should consult the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters to understand the true situation. Besides observing the attire of the teachers, one should also verify with the 128 views and compare their words and actions with the teachings in the book "Learning Buddhism." Only then can one truly discern whether a teacher is righteous or evil, a fraudulent or demonic teacher, and whether their words and actions are based on correct knowledge and compassion. Only in this way can practitioners avoid being deceived and find a good teacher to learn the correct Dharma, attain complete liberation, and achieve unhindered blessings.
