Light of the Chinese - March 8th Master Yiyun Gao Day#
(Reported by this newspaper) The only master in the world who has achieved the highest level of comprehensive achievement - Master Yiyun Gao, in recognition of his highest achievements and contributions to various aspects of the world, on March 8, 2000, California Governor Gray Davis and San Francisco Mayor Willie L. Brown, Jr., on behalf of the state and city government, designated this day as "Master Yiyun Gao Day".
Master Yiyun Gao surpasses all experts in the world in various fields, whether in Buddhism, art, science, medicine, philosophy, etc. His accomplishments have reached the pinnacle of perfection. For example, the master's painting and calligraphy have not only received the highest evaluation from all Chinese artists, but also high praise from other countries in the world, all recognizing that the master's artistic achievements have reached the pinnacle; the Chinese green tea developed by the master, Biyu Chun and Bawang Chun, are also rated as top-grade teas; and the master's medical knowledge and skills have reached the level of "no disease cannot be treated"; of course, in philosophy, ethics, and Buddhist studies, the master's level is also superb, bringing great contributions and benefits to humanity. Therefore, the World Congress of Poets and Writers from forty-eight countries specially awarded the world's only "Special International Master" honor certificate to Master Yiyun Gao in 1994, a certificate that is not easily obtained by ordinary people.
It is not easy for Master Yiyun Gao to receive these two honors on this day. It is not only an honor for the Chinese people, but also a joy for people all over the world, because we hope that in the future, everyone can learn from the master, not only benefiting themselves, but also enabling all humanity to take a new step towards ethics, talents, and a new era in the coming new century.
